BBC Possession Stats from last night

Premier Sports graphic at FT seemingly said
Rangers 4-0 Stirling Albion
‘After Penalties’

A simple error or a rat in the graphics room ?
Either way Scottish football broadcasting in general is the lowest of the low. Fans are dying for good content and statistics and we get served nothing
Pretty sure Premier are owned by the rattlers that used to own Setanta so wouldn’t be surprised tbh!

Tremendous.

"Right that's it, cancel our license fee payment"

"Why?"

"Because they've made a mistake with the possession stat in the Rangers v Stirling Albion game"

A mistake ? It’s a reoccurring theme with this lot. As I said, These are some of the things why I told her to cancel. Have you been sleeping the past 10 years when they’ve constantly lied about us at every opportunity? Kicked us when we were down, They haven’t learned anything nor do they look likely to learn.

And they wonder why Fan media is thriving, whilst they are all suffering cutbacks and job losses?

It's not BBC who have made the mistake. There's a company who provide the stats to them.

I remember BBC had this years ago as well. I think the possession stats just don't work so they stay on 50-50.

Impossible to get any info when you're boycotting the team, not going into the ground & therefore denying a service to licence payers.

Noticed the licence fee is to be axed. Was on Twatter the other day and the obvious pain coming from the likes of Lineker was glorious.

But the thought of Dick Gordon, Tom Irish & that poisonous Dundonian carrot c*nt all losing their jobs and having to work at Radio Local for £30 plus sandwiches a shift...

Oh, sex wee!
Maybe if the license fee is axed (it won't be, it'll be rebranded) the BBC will be able to stop 'employing' Michael Stewart.

The prick is on air more often than a fucking seagull.

The lady's front bottom.

Might be totally wrong but is it something to do with way they measure possesion, ie when oppo goalie has ball or taking goal kicks etc they class that as possesion whereas others dont.

Strange i know and might be talking complete bollocks, was going to check stats in other games but cba:))

The BBC do not compile the stats. It’s an outside agency. Sky, for example, have the same stats from the same agency, as do some of today’s newspapers. Indeed, I think even the official Rangers Match Hub has the same possession stats.

You not seen the TV licence thread in the Lounge and the utter despair of some supposed Bluenoses at the prospect of the licence fee being done away with?
Some of the weeping and wailing is hilarious.

Really?! Dear god. Clearly nats.

The BBC's last good series was Early Doors in 2007.

Mentioned in lounge Eastenders (record viewing figure in UK - 30,000,000) is now down to 2,000,000.

TV's done for, but the BBC being killed off first and all those scumbags getting sacked is awesome. Channel's full of yahoos, Rangers-hating diddy-mob fans, social justice warriors and incredibly racist anti-white ethnics.

F*ck off and die BBC.

B-D

The only BBC stuff I watch is Only Connect and University Challenge as they're a world apart from the utter drivel that's normally served up by TV.
I loved Who Do You Think You Are? but for the past few series it's been changed out of all recognition and hijacked by production crews who see almost every episode as an opportunity to lecture us on PC and woke.
I used to find Have I Got News For You entertaining but now it's just a panel of bitter Lefty champagne socialists. Thankfully I'd given up on it long before the racist bigot Janey Godley shuffled onto it.
And feck Lineker. Paid millions to haver on about a game of football that the viewer has only just watched? Lol

I haven’t watched the bbc in years. I used to watch MoTD but don’t even give enough of a shit about English football to even watch that anymore.

The wife (no pics) sometimes puts on the breakfast news but otherwise, no bbc services are consumed in my household.

The thought that we are legally obliged to pay for wankers like Tossgrope and Reinhardt to denigrate our club boils my piss.

License fee is a joke, don’t even watch the channel and they want us to pay them, ridiculous, just cause we watch any channel we have to pay them their fee. That is like Tesco coming to you and charging you a fee because you do shopping even if from another supermarket.

This has been going on for some time now. So, the real questions are:
  • Does this happen to other teams in Scotland or is it just some of our games that get 'the treatment'? From just a quick look at Google stats, it would appear every other game in the Scottish cup (just for example) no matter how small look to be being recorded properly.
  • Who pays for this service? I believe it's the media companies using the stats rather than the SPFL commissioning them for others to disseminate, although I think the SPFL also pay to use them themselves (on their website and for compiling their own stats). Which means the official stats for the whole league are being distorted. This will have a knock on effect. So no reports comparing us to them, our players to them or anyone else in the league etc can be trusted.
  • If it's not just an anomoly in our games (which to me it appears that it is), then do our media/SPFL pay less for a cheap inferior service from this company or are they just getting shafted and doing nothing about it? Or are they just not noticing/turning a blind eye, because it's us? It would appear that the latter is true, because multiple outlets are all reporting the same inconsistencies.
  • Is it still that OPTA mob that these skewed stats are emanating from? If so, it's them that need to be asked questions also. Not just the media companies for passing on this disinformation.
Bottom line. These lies are damaging our club.

First thought that came to my mind.

A large section of Scotland is incapable of putting professionalism ahead of personal allegiances and the worst bit is they know they are protected.

Tims and nats, two cheeks of the same arse.
This is it.
Worst thing is. Some of the stats maybe linked to bets and betting sites.
Some tim gets paid by a stat agency to watch our games, record and report goings on.
If he is lying about possession, what else is he lying about?
