Official BBC statement on relationship with Rangers

Has that been on the cards Mark? Seems completely out the blue and that is about as grovelling an apology as we could ever hope for. On a side note, do you know if the 'journalist' has had his press credentials reinstated at the same time?

Nvm the last part as you've answered it above. That is a complete climbdown on their behalf then and we haven't changed our stance. Excellent.

Translates as;

"Rangers are by far the biggest draw in scottish football now and are being reported on Europe wide, I know we don't want to but we better suck it up and half heartedly apologise. Wee Chris has even had his hair blow away hes been stood out on that roundabout so many times."
They had 10+ reporters and staff in Leipzig for the match there. Full-on jolly.

Will be interesting to see if McLaughlin is one of the reporters they send.

I'm guessing the concession from our side will be the BBC can send whoever they wish and thus we allow them access.

People will be along to say who cares, the BBC are irrelevant etc. but they are absolutely not irrelevant. Rangers fans have gone years without proper radio coverage of their games whilst Celtic fans got additional coverage if anything. Great outcome, and elderly Rangers fans were the most affected by the BBC's actions and are the biggest winners here.
