A lot of away clubs gather there but I’m not sure if it actually gets designated as a gathering point. Hopefully Rangers give us some information today or tomorrow with the game being just over a week away.
It’s the middle of January. Find a pub somewhere. They aren’t setting up an outdoor fanzone.

That's why you get a bag of cans or a bottle of vodka + juice from the shop, sorted
The cargo will be sorted before the bus leaves for Manchester - but is the organised venue that I’ve seen advertised that holds 2.5k not in an area away from shambles square - anyway our supporters club have booked the bus into a venue before the game (just not being told where it is at present)

Paid to get into Snobs down in Birmingham.

Enjoyed all the bars before it.
Walkabout was bouncing.
Walkabout was great, DJ playing good tunes and reasonable priced beer with no entry fee, place was bouncing. They must have made a good few quid on what would otherwise have been a quiet day for them.
Would be great if the Manchester one done the same for us.

100%. I’m not trying to be a smart arse by saying that btw, I’ve been caught out and had tickets cancelled myself.
It's no coincidence that Nice started cancelling tickets after the pre match club and police security meeting the day before the game, the details of sections folk were in and how they'd managed to get tickets were all over this board as well as various Facebook pages.

Loose lips sink ships!

The guy is literally on Man Utd away thread.

You won’t see him and others questioning the union bears getting tickets on the thread for St Johnstone away.

Apart from that fact that in the post you complained about he does mention domestic games which, last I checked, St Johnstone away was.

Not like he's just talking about euro games.

I'm not backing up his point or disagreeing with it. But he is talking about all games including the fabled St Johnstone away.

Anyone staying in Salford Quays? Any decent pubs around there?
We’re staying in that area. According to someone at my work there’s loads of bars and restaurants around there so I don’t think we’re going to bother going in to the city centre.

Yeah, staying there aswell. Looks like quite a few pubs and places to eat.

Think we will just have a drink there also, and its only a 15min walk over to the stadium.

Stayed for a couple on route to snobs.

Both were good.
But only 1 was free.

7 of us going down.
Think we’re just doing shambles square.

5-30am train.

Could be messy

We’ve got a few spaces on our bus travelling down on the morning of the game and back right after it.

If anyone is interested drop me a PM.

Joke mate 99% of people who have tickets are keeping them for this one. Absolutely no reason to be screwing about trying to sort a collection point (if that is what the delay is)

Delay will be with policing arrangements.

They tickets are qr codes so no need to collect

For anyone not yet booked up for travel, Trainline has an Avanti West Coast train leaving Glasgow Central at 05:48 am (with one change for a Northern Train at Wigan), arriving in Manchester Victoria at 09:09 am.

Due to demand on that date, prices are now pretty prohibitive, although this one is currently available at the princely sum of only £14.70 plus fees (£15.29 total). A veritable bargain.

The following day, there are three returns which form part of their sale:

Departs at 11:33 - Arrives at 15:00 £42.50 plus fees (£44.29 total)
Departs at 12:33 - Arrives at 16:03 £42.50 plus fees (£44.29 total)
Departs at 16:50 - Arrives at 20:01 £32.40 plus fees (£33.69 total) (Only 8 seats left)

You can get the same prices on the ScotRail app without fees as it also seems to do split tickets.

I think they use the same software for booking tickets

I’ve booked into the Holiday Inn one too. No idea what it’ll be like getting away. I’m driving down and back on the day for this.
Same here. Hopefully get down there by 5ish and then straight back up after the game. Looks like it wont be as cold as the other week so hopefully the roads will be OK.

Bought a ticket from a reputable reseller for my partner and have already received the QR code
Apparently you can get the QR code to appear early by changing the date and time settings on your phone. Who's name is the ticket in as some tickets have a warning saying that they will do ID checks?

That's going to be the main issue although they don't check everyone for ID.

I got returns from Edinburgh for £37. I’m stopping in Preston both ways and booked each leg of the journey individually but there will be similar options available using other transit stops.
