The Portuguese Hampden is an apt comparison. Portugal have the stadiums of Porto, Benfica and Sporting at their doorstep and yet the Portuguese FA choose to play in that utter dump.

I mean %^*& me, even Braga’s stadium is miles better, and that only has two stands and a massive bloody rock face on one side!
