Big DJ against Ajax back in 73.
Turned the Ajax defence brilliantly.
Wish he had scored, what a goal it would have been.
I still do not know how he missed! I’ve also never heard a full stadium say FFS in unison when he missed. That was one that came to my mind straight away. Two moments from Amato spring to mind.
v Celtic assisting Rod Wallace
v Parma (If Durie scores that header that goal would be still talked about today)
Every time he killed the ball stone dead no matter how hard or from what height or angle , the day he controlled a ball coming out the Sky with his arse was one of the best pieces of skill I’ve ever witnessedI feel honoured we got to witness him every week for 4 years.
can someone post this please? The Durie miss I mean.I still do not know how he missed! I’ve also never heard a full stadium say FFS in unison when he missed. That was one that came to my mind straight away.
Other one was the Laudrup flick over Leighton which he either scored with or someone else did - that long I can’t remember, I just remember the flick as he was boxed in.
Think it was Weighorst he left in his wake. Big diddy had to buy a ticket to get back in.On a serious note Amata at Hampden against them in the 1-0 1999. Think it ended in an Albertz shot but was unbelievable the touches and skills from Amato.
Kanchelskis acting it. Disrespectful as fcuk if you ask me.Honestly what the f*ck was he doing there
Whether disrespectful he had been joking about he couldn't see Billy Dodds in pen cos he was small - he was looking for him - found him - crossed to him and he scored!! My family were all there from 3yrs up and loved it. I think a lot of great bits of skill are cheeky and maybe disrespectful. Remember the rage when the on loan player Odua from Spurs flicked ball over a 3 div Alloa playerKanchelskis acting it. Disrespectful as fcuk if you ask me.
Sandy Jardine scored a solo goal in that game into our end .As long as you saw it I don't care how recent. I really just want to look up some of the ones I have either not seen or forgotten.
Stepover chop executed perfectly
I was referring to the daft pirouette, not the game against Ayr.Whether disrespectful he had been joking about he couldn't see Billy Dodds in pen cos he was small - he was looking for him - found him - crossed to him and he scored!! This the first one I thought off. TV doesn’t do it justice. An outstanding bit of skill all the better considering the abuse he was subjected too throughout

That's the one I was going to say.Right in front of meLaudrup chipping the ball over the keeper from the goal line
This for me, I was there as a young kid watching that game, next time we were at school we were all trying to practice it. Absolute sublime from MWWalters at Tynecastle when he did that Cruyff like turn directly from a punt up the park was sublime…
Misunderstood - yes that was a joke we laughed at the time cos he was our player and knew him but probably not if an opposing player.I was referring to the daft pirouette, not the game against Ayr.
Gordon ‘I’ll chase ma own flick ons’ Durie with a head like a sheriff’s badge for that gilt-edged chance.
I wasn’t at that match but I seen him do it in other games from long cross field passes. This the first one I thought off. TV doesn’t do it justice. An outstanding bit of skill all the better considering the abuse he was subjected too throughout
I've never seen that clip before. Zidane would have been proud of that one. Fantastic.
Amato in the Parma game just before that cross for Durie who should have scored imo! Was an outrageous piece of skill upto then I thought could only be done in a computer game lol?
How recent?
Davy Cooper, Dryburgh cup final.
John MacDonald's opener wasn't too bad either.Often overlooked because of the brilliance of Coopers goal in the 1979 Dryburgh Cup Final Sandy Jardine scored a magnificent goal in the same game.
Against the mighty Ayr United.Kanchelskis standing on the ball then creating a goal.

One of the best I've seen for us in the box. Incredibly talented.Aribo has some hugely impressive footwork.
