Aye ill be getting a taxi or whatever about an hour before the game and heading to ground, sick of being in the stadium 2hrs+ at these euro aways. Got a taxi to Betis ground and rocked up 30 mins before kick off and swanned in easy with no queues at all.
Fenerbahce was stupid in 2 hours before, nae booze and one wee tiny window to try n get a juice.

I was flapping like fúck on the way to Betis as we were still sitting on our bus at 7:40 worrying we’d be late, yet we were still up in our stand for the EL music starting.

I probably won’t even get into the city centre until 3ish on Thursday so no chance I’m heading to stadium at 5pm just to stand about in there for over 2 hours.

Ok last bump for this, looking to organise a mini bus for the Edinburgh to Santander flight tomorrow morning. Currently have 5 folk, 3 seats available, if filled it'll be £25 each approximately.

Just got some very interesting junk mail.

I might not be going to the game, but I’ve apparently won £3.4 million and all I have to do is provide my bank details to Prince Adebayo
Not sure why a few are still waiting to receive tickets.

My old man got his at half 8 and still nothing for me. I know these things can take time, but for 2600 tickets which were being issued from back of 7, feels like nearly 5 hours later with nothing is drifting towards being concerned.

I agree.

Slo said process would take 2 hours.

Definitely, but I've spent a fortune doing every euro away this season and won't be any better off than someone sat at home, defeats the purpose of a loyalty scheme really.
This will be my 4th Euro away this season and I haven’t had a ticket from Rangers yet.:D

Folk say it’s a bit of a myth and it’s not a big problem people buying tickets with no intention of going, but you can see from posts today on here and elsewhere that it’s clearly happening in significant numbers.

What can you do though? You are just forced to play along and acquire tickets where you can get them from. I’m lucky in that I managed to get one from a poster on here this time due to unforeseen circumstances in his case.

What you doing about the name on the ticket mate? I have a ticket, but not through Rangers like yourself.

there's always been a way and that's unlikely to change , pick up abroad is a thing of the past and it's the age of QR codes/PDFs and clubs especially Scottish clubs wont spend out paying club officials at roughly what £750 per head flights and hotels then you've expenses ,clubs just wont pay that unnecessary expense

Do a random 300/400 strict collection for each match, that'll reduce the numbers applying for points.

Still think they should do what they did for Kyiv when it came to giving the mygers points.
Random amount of Itineraries and stamps on passport emailed through.
Yes there’ll be a few who will bypass it but it’ll be a deterrent and Rangers can then see who has bought a ticket and not been able to provide stamps.

It wouldn't really work as ours will be stamped in and out of Amsterdam as it is Schengen after that

Has to be the way forward and strict on ID.

1. You book travel with tight timelines for collection, you take the associated risks if you miss collection.
2. You don't want to take an hour out your day collecting a ticket? Don't go.

Non collection or attempt to collect by someone else without the correct ID should be a points deduction and sit out the next so many games.

Scotland supporters club use the Hampden app as much as possible now. For most of the recent away games, your ticket/QR code appears in the Hampden app linked to your supporters ID, and cannot be transferred out to anyone. Stops a lot of people applying for tickets to harvest points as they don't get the points if not scanned.

A minority of people will always find a way around these things but it does stop a lot of the point harvesters.

Could be something the clubs looks to do in future but would obviously require investment from the club.

What's stopping someone just screenshotting it and sending it to a mate?

App doesn't allow screenshots. You just get a black picture.

Only way around it would be to possibly give your login details to a mate, but you wouldn't want to be giving your login details to randoms. I have heard that the app is also linked to your phone so when you try login via another phone, it doesn't work but I'm not 100% on that.

Could you not just give the person, if it’s a mate, your log in details?

Edit: just seen your reply to that point.
