Birmingham fan wants Dowell permanently

Talented academy player who will just plod through games and if given time and space may do decent things. Most of the time will offer very little offensively or defensively.

He was seldom terrible for us just utterly irrelevant in most games.

A player given a contract way above his value. He would never have came here otherwise preferring to spend his career plodding around mid table Championship clubs.

Kind of what he will end up doing now.

He was at it. He looked like he couldn't give a shit to me eventually. When he just signed I thought he had something about him and he liked to get stuck in a bit as well but as you say, the contract and the alleged 25k a week shit has to stop for these average league 1 players.

Norwich fans really rated him. So this doesn't really surprise me. Let's hope he attracts interest from down there this summer.

He's such a weird player, I've never seen a Rangers player look so nonplussed about being a bench player. I think he was sold a pup by Beale to get him up here tbh, which probably demotivated him quite a bit, and he's not really the type of player that Clement needs.

True, but Dowell should never have go near it. That said, I wish him well.
I feel he will be one of those players who go through a whole career make a shed full of money but don’t do a lot to earn it, good luck to the boy but hopefully he’ll be away for good.

Big show pony. Couldn't handle the pace up here so never bothered doing anything other than jogging around like he was "the man".

As somebody said - he's found his level.

Hopefully get a couple of million if he keeps it up.

Ultimately, a seasoned Championship player which is what Birmingham will need next season.

But, please, can we just get away from signing players from this division.

One of his last games, the camera cut to him getting ready to come on. He had the look of a guy who's showed up 20 minutes late for 5s because he was finishing up a few emails at the bank, just not arsed.

That doesn't surprise me. He was never bad for us, problem was he was never good either. Exactly the kind of player you find in that league.

Never bad, never good? The fact is I cannot for the life of me recall one thing he ever produced for us. He was a total waste of time.

there were some decent performances for us too. Just few and far between and interrupted by injuries. He was rated at a championship side before he came to us

I genuinely can’t think of any. A couple of goals, and that was it across 18 months.

When he played, he was just kinda…..there.

Given his wages ( £16k a week apparently) and what he cost to sign (nothing), I don’t think we will overly fussy regarding a fee.

He's not for us. I hope he's for them. As others have mentioned it's a lighter blue shirt to perform in. He's not even close to the best player to be unable to manage it

He was an absolute awful signing for us. Offered nothing when he was called upon. Empty jersey and no doubt on decent money

I honestly don't know what sort of player he was? He seemed to just kinda drift through games without doing anything at all? No attributes that stand out?

The most “beige” player in the squad, no idea what his supposed attributes were, was just there.

I couldn’t even tell you what position he plays. He was here a couple of years and didn’t ever seem to play 4 or 5 games in a row. Yes there were injuries and there were the odd glimpse of a decent player but just seemed to never enjoy the pressure of playing for us.

He didn't score, he didn't create or put in a solid tackle. I fail to see what he contributed to the team.

Search Ben Davies’ name and you’ll see similar comments from the weekend saying he was like a brick wall for them, in a good way. Glad to see they’re doing well. Suits both parties.
So that’s Wright, Davies and Dowell all off to them and doing well? Happy to see they are doing well, all seem like nice guys but Jesus Christ have Birmingham signed up for Temu scouting?

Watched the game tonight and Dowell strolled it tbh.

He linked up well with Scott Wright who also had a good game.

Davies has been one of their best players too.

Hopefully all 3 of them remain Birmingham City players and hopefully they go on to have good careers.

They just weren’t of the required standard / have the mentality to play for us. And that’s fine.

There’s been better players than Kieran Dowell who have came up the road and struggled.

Wasn’t up to it for us but if he genuinely does have a very good second half of the season then we shouldn’t just give him away
In these loan deals does the option to buy agreement not include the price at which that option to buy is set at?
