Hopefully they take both Davies and Dowell in the summer.
And the guy that offered the £3m is now an amputee. If they chanced it with a cheeky £3m bid then I can see us just accepting that and wishing him well.
Packet of Hubba bubba.£10m and not a penny less
No way……he’s ours
I didn't even realise he'd signedI didn't even realise he'd left!
Without a club since 1st July 2024 according to transfer market.Still no club?
Folk saying he wasn't terrible. Kinda agree, diabolical is probably more accurate. I've rarely seen a player so lazy or can't be arsed ever. Literally a man down sub, we'd have been better getting the tired player sent off.
The latter I would think. He could do a turn for someone down there.Without a club since 1st July 2024 according to transfer market.
The thing is, Barker wasnt horrendous, hes mustve set himself a wage price and doesnt want to play for less. Either that or hes scunnered with football.
Watched the game tonight and Dowell strolled it tbh.
He linked up well with Scott Wright who also had a good game.
Davies has been one of their best players too.
Hopefully all 3 of them remain Birmingham City players and hopefully they go on to have good careers.
They just weren’t of the required standard / have the mentality to play for us. And that’s fine.
There’s been better players than Kieran Dowell who have came up the road and struggled.
I must have missed themthere were some decent performances for us too. Just few and far between and interrupted by injuries. He was rated at a championship side before he came to us
If he were a pony he’d have been made into glue by now so he had a useBig show pony. Couldn't handle the pace up here so never bothered doing anything other than jogging around like he was "the man".
As somebody said - he's found his level.
are you talking about dowell or davies?I genuinely can’t think of any. A couple of goals, and that was it across 18 months.
When he played, he was just kinda…..there.
Given his wages ( £16k a week apparently) and what he cost to sign (nothing), I don’t think we will overly fussy regarding a fee.
Same as Davies, Matondo and the guy at Greece.Hope he has a stormer for the rest of the season and lands us a fee.
Think he went to Morecambe in a short term deal for a few months the 23/24 season, didn’t play a game and hasn’t even been training with anyone since. Practically retired by the age of 26. Can’t remember another player falling quite so far so soon after leaving us.The latter I would think. He could do a turn for someone down there.
WowClement will still find a way of playing him at the weekend
Feels like he genuinely couldn't be bothered up here and just wanted to pick up a wage.
12 million and he's theirs not a penny less and he'll go with my best wishes![]()
Making out he played him all the time to have a pop at the manager is quite weird.Clement will still find a way of playing him at the weekend
Hemdani never played again.Think he went to Morecambe in a short term deal for a few months the 23/24 season, didn’t play a game and hasn’t even been training with anyone since. Practically retired by the age of 26. Can’t remember another player falling quite so far so soon after leaving us.
Scott Wright is doing well for them too so hopefully they buy Davies and Dowell.Search Ben Davies’ name and you’ll see similar comments from the weekend saying he was like a brick wall for them, in a good way. Glad to see they’re doing well. Suits all parties.
I don't think the way we played or even being a sub ever suited him. He likes being on the ball and just linking the team, but the way we play is less about control of the game and more about using every possession to create an attempt on goal.Folk saying he wasn't terrible. Kinda agree, diabolical is probably more accurate. I've rarely seen a player so lazy or can't be arsed ever. Literally a man down sub, we'd have been better getting the tired player sent off.
Found his level
Let’s hope soIf they chanced it with a cheeky £3m bid then I can see us just accepting that and wishing him well.
Succinctly put.I posted similar in the transfer thread—he was the footballing equivalent of a 20-year-old marriage where the only action left is missionary sex, or a meal deal comprising a ham sandwich, ready-salted crisps, and a bottle of water. Zero spice. Zero excitement. Just pure, functional mediocrity.
If I remember correctly, there wasn't too much interest in him when he was running his contract down at Norwich. Only for us to come along and hand him a relatively huge contract. No wonder he was happy to coast as a background actor.
Pretty good technically, just no spirit whatsoever. If he actually liked football he'd be decent. That doesn't surprise me. He was never bad for us, problem was he was never good either. Exactly the kind of player you find in that league.
Stop trying to piss on people's chips.Let’s remain calm.
Plenty of bears wanted Couilibaly permanently after his first few matches as well.
