Boli Bolingoli And Celtic Breaching COVID Rules - Sturgeon “Celtic and Aberdeen not expected to play for at least next week”

maybe im reading the story wrong or making 2 +2 = 5 but does anyone know when he went to spain, ? celtc say hes been tested twice in the last week so they must have known last week about it prior to the game but still chose to play him albeit for a few minutes, rather thn tel him hes dropped for two weeks and to stay in his house
Levi’s Warsaw player was only on a couple minutes but enough for the Tim’s to claim the tie !

Don't think anything about this virus - awareness etc - could ever be a point scoring exercise. I hate it and would much rather get on with things and a safe way. All of us probably break the rules without thinking
Naivety if you think the bheggars wouldn't climb over bodies of poor victims to gain an advantage or point score...ffs sake they just declared a league on that basis.
Oh and dont forget the SC in December !!!
Oh and dont forget the fixture scheduling!!!

1 - both Aberdeen and Celtic should be given points deductions. There’s not a cats chance in hell that Bolongoli pissed off to Spain days before a game without Lennon knowing.

2 - if professional football players can’t manage to operate in a bubble, how do they expect semi professional Joe the plumber or Davie the police officer at part time Elgin, Annan or Queens Park to? And SPFL Premiership teams will be playing current non-league teams (Kelty Hearts etc) in the Betfred in less than two months time.

If they drop any more points I think we can expect to see a few more of that lot breaking quarentine rules.

We need to go out and destroy everyone that stands before us and get to the top pronto before Nippy tries to halt the league, even then they won't do an average ppg winner on the basis that sellick are not top (not enough rounds of fixtures played)

Their game tomorrow should be off. The precedent has been set with Aberdeen. Can’t see it though, will be swept under the carpet as it’s them. I mean going to a boozer is one thing, but turning up at an airport, boarding a flight to a country deemed high risk where the home office has stated all but essential travel to go to, coming back and ignoring quarantine rules as a footballer who’s sport has been given preferential treatment to allow the game to be played is an absolute disgrace. More likely the player will be punished.

That’s why I asked if clubs held on to passports as if they did he would’ve had to ask for it back to go away. I’m sure I’ve heard before that clubs keep the passports as some players aren’t trusted to turn up for European away trips with them.
They could well have us passport but he could’ve travelled in his ID card. Talk now Scottish football season could be suspended, according to the Mail . No sweeping this under carpet Timmy bhoy

If Celtic knew about Bolingoli being abroad and brought him on to a football pitch when he should have been isolating, then they should be hammered and Killie given 3pts for the game. Remeber Legia Warsaw!

This is where them being light years ahead of us when it comes to PR really shows.

The narrative has already been set with "bolis blunder" and the general ach what a silly boy, won't be doing that again.

They've already said they are investigating him and being seen to do what they can.

Unless there are any positive tests, this will go away without much being said.

Would like to be wrong but just think when they've got in early, they've put out a fire.

Is ID card acceptable for traveling outside Britain
Thought you needed passports

Someone in the seperate entity would have gave the tit permission to travel no getting away from it.

Exactly which is the main point.

Everything we've read after the event is the club had "no knowledge" of his "secret trip" I'm calling bullshit on that notion right now. He may have gone without their consent but there's no way on this earth they were still unaware on his return. Septic are bang to rights on this. It's on them, they cannot be allowed to wriggle their way out of this.

Posted on another thread - but if professional players can't remain in a bubble for football when it's all they have to do, how can players at part time clubs like Elgin, Annan, Brora or Kelty do so? They'll have jobs that may require them to interact with others - and all of these teams are in Betfred Cup groups with Premiership clubs.

I think Celtic/Aberdeen should be severely punished for their players actions - but to think that the Betfred Cup in particular can start in less than two months is ridiculous.

PAUSE BUTTON Coronavirus Scotland: Government could PAUSE resumption of football in Scotland over Bolingoli and Aberdeen breaches

THE Scottish Government say they could put football back into cold storage as they attempt to get to the bottom of the Boli Bolingoli affair and what appears to be another 'serious' breach of coronavirus protocols.
We told you earlier tonight how the Celtic star was under investigation by raging club chiefs after sneaking off on holiday to Spain in defiance of strict Covid-19 quarantine rules.
The 25-year-old didn’t tell Hoops bosses he’d been to the high-risk country, failed to isolate when he returned — then played in Sunday’s game against Kilmarnock.
The affair comes just a week after two Aberdeen stars tested positive for the virus and six others were forced to quarantine for 14 days after visiting a pub after the Dons' match against Rangers.
Celtic ace Leigh Griffiths was also reminded of his conduct after pictures showed him at a party in his own house which breached social distancing protocols.
Government patience is clearly wearing thin - a point re-inforced by national clinical director Jason Leitch on a 5pm Zoom call with managers and captains of all Scottish Premiership club this evening.

And now a Scottish Government spokesman has told the Scottish Sun that they were aware of the Bolingoli incident and were attempting to establish the full facts of the affair.
If confirmed, a spokesman said the authorities would have little choice but to consider PAUSING the Scottish game.
The spokesman said: “The Scottish Government is aware of reports of a Celtic FC player having broken quarantine rules last week.

"We are currently in discussion with the club and football governing bodies to establish the facts.
“If confirmed as another serious incident within Scottish football, where protocols have been breached at the risk of wider public health, then the Scottish Government will have little choice but to consider whether a pause is now needed in the resumption of the game in Scotland.”

Celtic should be punished for this. They should ge forced to play bolingoli for the rest of the season.

seriously I doubt nippy will mention this, it will be sadly swept under the carpet like every other scandal involving that rancid club.

WHAT A SILLY BOLI Celtic star Boli Bolingoli broke strict quarantine rules with secret trip to Spain before playing against Kilmarnock

In The Mail as well.

Would the Tims games for the next 2 weeks not now need to be postponed until all those who've been in close contact with Bolingoli have isolated for 14 days?

Reactions: Gee
I thought the whereabouts of all players had to be known for drug testing reasons. 14 days isolation for all who came into contact with him seems the normal response?

Can't believe Celtic as a club would be so stupid? The player Yes. Loathe to jump onto the bandwagon here, lets hope none of our players are so stupid.

Morelos, for instance, his English is poor, with nationalities so varied in dressing rooms, are clubs sure that everyone really understands the restrictions. I hope so, even some of the UK population struggles,

i'm not sure if it's the law/guidelines for Killie (or possibly Celtic). Killie in particular would only need to self-isolate if Bolingoli has shown symptoms.

Technically the same would be true for Celtic but given the risk to other teams they should postpone their matches for the next two weeks.

If they pause the season like being reported would this not mean no European football either ? UEFA set out pretty clear rules about not fulfilling fixtures etc
The whole thing is a cluster %^*& to be honest, the Aberdeen thing was a shambles as well, the 8 players all train together, play together but can’t sit for dinner together. How did the premiership manage ten games without this, we are two games in and it’s a %^*& up

They went for dinner then went to the busiest pub in Aberdeen, it doesn’t matter that they are tested, away from training and matches they have to abide by Government guidelines that apply to everyone, the testing regime didn’t stop 2 of them contracting the disease!

Until this is under control they shouldn’t be going to places like the Soul Bar.

You can guarantee any disruption will only hinder us, one way or another this season. They’re absolutely bullet proof.

No chance mate she’ll have that black and emerald green outfit on and say it’s fine just wee misunderstanding. Nothing to see here and the poodles in the Scottish media will clap like seals.
Wee Burnie isn’t a Tim she is from Dreghorn for gods sake ! However I fear she may stop the season also the very lthe rotten mobs participation in Europe is now in doubt as at the least they will have to isolate for 14 days now their entire squad and coaching team
Won’t happen however they should all be in quarantine for 14 days now
under the law of the land everyone he has been in contact with needs to isolate for 14 days that includes I assume the Kilmarnock players and staff. This is a very serious breach far more serious than the Aberdeen breach and I think it could put a stop to all games the yahoos won’t be able to fulfill their champions league fixture now that would be perfect punishment can you imagine the reaction to that ?

As above self isolation isn't law - it's guidelines.

Secondly - the current guidelines are to self-isolate on return from those countries, and for others to self-isolate if they've been in contact with anyone that's shown symptoms.

So unless he's shown symptoms there is no need for Killie players to self isolate. There's also probably no need for Celtic players to, but for the safety of other teams they should as a team be put into self-isolation until Bolingoli is known to be safe.

Notice the daily rhebel are ignoring this story proof that lieswell sets the narrative of banning this rag from negative stories about the bheasts
They have two stories on it. One last night when the story was just coming out and one this morning with the initial reaction from the Scottish Government

Breaking self isolation is a fineable offence.

Yes that’s the rules/law it also ruled out them playing in Europe or fielding a youth team remember there back room staff are also required to isolate.

I wonder what noise Kilmarnock will make about this, re him playing at the weekend when he’s technically ineligible. Also, what will the sheep be saying about it after they took a doing in public and McIness voicing his anger about his players so publicly?
