Borna Barisic

I think he is becoming a whipping boy. He is hardly putting a foot wrong. Just not producing anything spectacular either.

Let’s hear your opinion now you daft troll. Happy to dish it out in most threads but never debate it.

Why don’t you actually engage in a proper football debate for once. Going by your post history, it’s not something you ever do.
Played shite yesterday. Doesnt make your post two weeks ago any more valid.

Funny that youve kept that rage in for two weeks though. Pure tragic. I look forward to another ban from FF's most sensitive admin.

Might come across as harsh as his career with us to date has been very stop/start due to injuries but he’s looking very average just now. For me he looks terrified of playing for us, takes the safe option every time.

Granted he overlapped a few times today and the formation in the first half probably limited him from getting up and down the wing as much and to be fair, he was available for a pass most of the game but I’d like to see a lot more from him.

The player we seen for Osijek isn’t the one we are getting.

Spot on with this comment.
'For me he looks terrified of playing for us, takes the safe option every time'.

Disappointing retort.

Hindsight is wonderful eh?

That’s a terrible attempt bro, especially as my whole point is us not getting the same version of Barisic we seen at Ibrox for Osijek.

-C. Must try harder

"Genuinely one of the best players we've seen at Ibrox in years"

Well considering we had only played one team in Europe in about 7 years up until this season, it wasn’t going to be hard was it?

Mate, your attempts at this are pitiful. You are bringing knives to a gun fight.

Maybe he's terrified as Gerrard has been at him in public. I don't imagine a manager expressing no faith in you will do your confidence the world of good. See also Shaw and Mourinho.
I'm not quite sure what Barasic would expect when he plays for a figure such as Gerrard at a club like Rangers ......Someone of Gerrards standing in the game and our support won't tolerate weak willed individuals who baulk at the first sign of adversity or taking ant sort of responsibility. And neither we should. Fwiw he wasn't alone yesterday but over the 6 months he has been here he has consistently waned atvthe prospect of getting stuck in and pulling his weight.

Enjoy your Sunday mate/bro

He had a good debut against St Mirren for the hour he played, I don't recall a good performance since. He looks like a guy short of Confidence

Managers, clubs, scouts, directors, don't evaluate a player based on one performance. Wenger used to watch players for a year until he signed them.

Can we please stop doing the same, please? A 90 minute performance against a team playing their third or fourth game of the season should not be the benchmark by which a player is judged.

Not harsh at all.I think he looks like a very ordinary player. His delivery from set pieces is very poor, doesn't seem to like a bit of aggression and is he any better than Halliday in what is Barasic's specialised position. Doesn't do it for me.Just my opinion though, could be wrong.

I thought he was decent, far from the worst yesterday. Won a fair few challenges and tried to get forward.

He wasn't the only one forced into taking the safe option. I agree that it feels like he's only playing at 80% of his potential, he needs a run, and might have some mistakes before he gets to 100%.

I think people are being a bit harsh. I’m very disappointed in him too, however firstly I think he’s still trying to adapt to a new country & a new ‘culture’ which is alien to him. Secondly, he’s been in & out through injuries too. Thirdly, our expectations are at the extreme end of what he will expect no matter where he plays in his career.

On the other hand, I’m really needing him to toughen up, I’m also hoping he can take more responsibility & both shoot & take men on more, which seems to be a weakness I hadn’t noticed before he joined us, and he needs to be stronger defensively.

The jury’s our for me, but I’ll always try to be patient & supportive for any Rangers player.

not many players played well yesterday.
Did anyone play well? I'm not trying to be funny, I'd be curious to know if anyone played well in the opinion of others. To me it looked as if some individual players had a moment here or there, but for a team within touching distance for a league chaĺlenge that performance was strangely lacklustre.

Wes did nothing wrong. Wee Ryan looked hungry & energetic but got no end result. I’m strugglingafter that personally.

Wes would have been my man of the match, had he been as poor as the rest we may have lost that. We were playing against a very poor side yesterday, but we were clueless. The lack of taking the ball early, and tippy tappy football won't get us anywhere.

Agree mate. It was soul destroying, and especially in the context of being a must win game.

I thought Fod and Kamara got pass marks and that's about it.

Lost the ball early on yesterday and with it his confidence. I agree he plays with the weight of the world on his shoulders.

He looked terrified to go into StJohnstone’s half yesterday which is annoying as it’s clearly his strength.

He’ll come good. Yesterday was far from being his fault.
