Bury FC phoenix club

We return to league action tomorrow evening, with the visit of South Liverpool to Gigg Lane.

Dave McNabb’s side made it 10 games unbeaten in all competitions, with a 2-0 win away at Garforth Town, booking in our place in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup. Alex Cherera & Lewis Alessandra scored on either side of the break. Cherera now has five FA Cup goals this season.

The draw has just been made for the next round, and we head to either Campion or Blyth Spartans in the next round on Saturday 14th September. They replay this Wednesday, following a 1-1 draw at the weekend.

Focusing back on the league and ahead of Tuesday’s game, we sit five points off the league leaders Ramsbottom United, with three games in hand created by our cup exploits in both the FA Cup and FA Vase this season so far.

Isle of Man away tonight

Isle of Man away tonight

A last gasp goal gave us a 1 - 1 draw
A big effort from the lads today

Here are the highlights from the Isle of Man game

Back in FA Cup action today away at Blyth Spartans

A fabulous away victory in the FA Cup at a club 2 divisions higher

Blyth Spartans 0 - 3 Bury

Looked like a very comfortable victory.

Is it only one more qualifying round before the 1st round proper?
Hi Rob
The next round is the 3rd qualifying round, the fixtures should be announced at 1pm today
Then there is a 4th qualifying round before the First round proper
And then in the 3rd round we can be drawn away to Man City or Liverpool or not
So optimistic

Looked this up last night, 2 more qualifying rounds before 1st proper. Looks like only 4 teams left in from the same level as Bury, 2 through and 2 with a replay.

Next league game is tonight, away at local neighbours Ramsbottom Utd

1-1 draw. Crowd 1773. Huge for that level.

Good game between 2 very strong sides. Bury better on the ball mostly but Rammy a strong physical side who defended well and were a decent threat on the break. Felt like most of the attacks they had resulted in a good chance. Bury had more chances as the game wore on and probably a fair result overall. Enjoyable evening, Rammys ground is a really nice setting, cricket club open next door for a couple of pints before going into the ground too.

The FA Cup run continues on Saturday, away at our friends and neighbours, Radcliffe, with whom we ground shared in our recent survival years.
Radcliffe are 3 divisions higher, so it will be a big effort to maintain our unbeaten run

Bury beating Radcliffe 3-2! Fantastic result and still in the FA Cup!
To go a goal down after only 7 minutes, i must admit i feared the worst.
But to turn it round, to be drawing 2 - 2 and for us to be awarded the penalty in the 89th minute which we scored is absolutely amazing
Another away win, this time against a team 3 divisions higher, who happen to be our neighbours, is unbelievable
We march on

Fingers crossed Graeme for a good result will be tuning in from Blairgowrie today and heading to Bury on Monday taking in the Glossop game Tuesday.

Hope you have a good day for it

Tonight Bury play Glossop North End

I'll be there tonight. Looking forward to it!

2-2 draw tonight frustrating after going 2 goals up in the second half. Seen much better performances than that this season though tbh and I did feel Glossop were worth a draw in the end. Good chances for more goals from both sides over the course of the game.

Why was he trying to pass it back to the keeper for their second goal it was easier to knock it out of play.

Couldn't really see properly at the time as I was in a heated discussion with a jobsworth steward over where i was stood in the corner of the ground, opposite end to where Glossop scored. Will have to see the highlights when they're up.

Next round of the FA Cup, away at Harborough Town, on Saturday
