I got kicked oot right after Burns scored, so missed our equaliser and winner. Obviously I've seen them several times down the years, but I was watching again this morning on Youtube and for the life of me I couldn't remember the vermin having a late "goal" disallowed.

However, what made me laugh was Danny McGrain racing to remonstrate with the ref. WTF did he think what come of that?

McGrain - "Nnnngggghhhm"
Ref - "Whit?"
McGrain - "Nnnnmnngggh"
Ref - "Have you been drinking?"

I was at the game, and didn't get kicked oot :D, and for the life of me can't recall them having a goal chalked off. Our goal was late on so we were probably still celebrating.

I think it was just before we scored. I'm sure I heard Joke Broon say the 87th minute. Then Bud bounced the ball off Provo's heid and threw the ball to Humphy who lashed in the winner:))

They had a goal disallowed because there was a player in an offside position who was in the vicinity of our keeper. I think it was McLeod that 'scored' and it was the correct decision....but when has that ever stopped the mentalists from screaming 'conspiracy'?

First game I ever saw us win at the StyDome.

Also the first ever Rangers game my now best mate went to. He’s been going with me ever since, home and away. :))

If I remember correctly one of their players was offside and in direct line of the shot.
He might even have attempted to head the ball.
Correct decision but as you say didn't stop them complaining about it.

I was there with my cousin. When we finally stopped celebrating the winner we must have been 25 yards away from where we had been standing when the ball hit the net.

My other main memory is being convinced at the time that Jim Bett was going to be the signing that won us the league!

I took a young fella, it was his first time at the scum hut.

I had to hold onto his top for fear of losing him in the celebrations

Me too , finished 20 yards away from where I stood when the goal went in.
Loved standing in that end really felt like we were all one animal :)

I was telling the old man that Bett would be better than Baxter.
You live and learn.

Looking at the celebrations in the Rangers end, I miss those days. I feel sorry for younger bears who’ve never experienced the terracing. What did that end hold; was it about 27,000?
The mentally challengeds probably sold us 27k tickets but officially I think it was 18k. Always a good wee walk back down to Brigdeton X after the game.

I was playing an amateur game that day within earshot of the piggery.

When the roar went up for the late winner our game literally came to a halt as everyone wanted to know who had scored. There was a mix of celebration and dejection on both sides.

I had only been to 4 away OF games before this one but I missed this game as my sister got married that day and therefore had to wait a further decade before I witnessed us winning an away OF game.

My auld mans favourite ever game v Them

Where can we see full highlights op? I’ve only ever seen the goals.

April Fools Day by any chance when Woods saved a penalty?

Was there and can't mind of them having a goal chalked off

I was there as well and don’t remember it.

Admittedly, a fair few bevvies were quaffed before OF back in those days.

Whole crates carried into the stadium. LOL

Remember Millers goal clearly though. I was right behind the flight of the ball. Knew it was in long before it hit the net.

I was there first win there for a while it was bedlam as they say wonderful celebrations at our goals and full time and probably the first and last time Alec Miller,s name was sung at a game great goal

I was there also. Second time I witnessed us beating them. First time was Glasgow Cup Final in 1976 when we gubbed them 3=1.

I have told this story before on FF and it is true. I wasn't at the game but I had a very spooky experience directly related to it. I was down in Essex with my wife and daughters at my mother in law's house. They had gone out for the day and I was alone in the house. Grandstand was on the he telly and I knew we were a goal down. Out of nowhere a voice in my ear says "Jim Bett has scored for the Rangers". About a minute later, Frank Bough on Grandstand says, "There has been an equalising goal for Rangers at Parkhead. Jim Bett was the scorer". It was a very strange experience and is the only time in my life that anyhing of this nature ever happened to me. To this day I still wonder about it.

No, but there was no law for interfering with play back then. If you were offside you were offside. The ball was headed out from a corner and the defence charged out. Turdo Turncoat hit it from the edge of the box and it went straight in. However mCGarvey was standing on his own at the egde of the 6 yard box and as the laws were then was correctly ruled out
The ref that day was a guy called Eddie Pringle who got villified for years after that game. Nothings changed

That was the 2nd time I saw us win there. Was right in line with Millers shot as it hit the net. What a walk back along London Road into the city centre. A sea of red, white and blue as far as the eye could see.

I'd forgotten that disallowed goal too. But what I've never forgotten was Willie Johston taking the piss out of Provan at the throw-in and laying the ball on a platter for Alex Miller to score that cracking winner :)

I was 16 at the time and remember bud messing about at the throw in. The way I remember it was that miller was a lot further out when he scored. Phuck me I was slim and a young punk at the time. We had not one there in years am sure. Great memories

First time I saw us win there as well.
What I can’t believe is well that
Davie Cooper , Sandy Jardine , Colin Jackson,
Colin McAdam and Ian Redford are no longer with us.
Fantastic memories but really sad as well looking back now at who we have lost.

Peace Process really was and is an obnoxious character. He had a thing about Bud and feigned injury a few years later when Bud was playing for Hearts. Interesting that 2 trackside police officers offered to act as witnesses that Peace Process had faked injury.

1974/75 season was the last time we won in the league before that game.
Both goals at the Rangers end that day. Colin Jackson scored the winner that day.

Correct, was a long time coming and thought wexeere going to blow it but managed to get it over the line. The amazing thing was just how many victories we racked up at their midden after this "breakthrew" win, so much so that you almost expected to, at the very least, not lose going there.

If you look at the video no police or stewards either.
Changed days.
Oh there were fuukin polis alright, and I must have got a bitter one. I remember a high number of arrests that day as it was the first meeting since the Hampden riot and the polis made sure no piss would be taken that day.

There are extended highlights on YouTube. Like yourself I’ve only ever seen the goals after I was lobbed out, which is why I couldn’t remember the disallowed one. Some balls from the linesman, right in front of the jungle.

Watched the 2-0 at the Piggery August 1991 this morning. There’s a split second of footage after Hateley’s first goal when the bears burst into TBB that is pure Protestant porn. If that doesn’t make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end you must be dead.

There was 3 players from my old school playing that day. Nothing to do with the Macadams.
