Celtic face threat of multimillion pound compensation claim(The Times)

Over the past few weeks I’ve had various posters ask me privately about one of the alleged perpetrators Lyness Malley.
When we heard this individuals name last year then we obviously went on the hunt. Wherever we looked we kept hitting a brick wall. This individual was nowhere to be found on any of Celtic’s history pages.
This obviously didn’t stop us, so we done more digging and eventually found him. This was all done after we were told there was an allegation against him at his time at Celtic. So why could we not find him on any of their history pages? Had he been removed? Did the club wipe him from their history?
We then came across this from a Celtic newsletter below.
I would also like to draw you’re attention to the club thanking him for his services to the boys club. No mention of a separate entity. I think we can all agree that from the start there is no such thing as a separate entity. It’s only an attempt by the club to distance themselves from the crimes committed by its employees.

A celtic news letter thanking one of their own for his work at celtic and also at their boys club. It isn't much clearer than that.

Only adds more weight to what we already know.

So that lot thought they hid him out of their history and knew about it but allowed him to join the Scottish youth ranks, smells like a bit of Neelyism , knowing something bad but allowing a perpetrator to carry on without informing

Below is a photograph of cbc before the trip to Kearny. We are aware of most of the boys that went on the trip but we thought we would post this to see if anyone else recognised others. Please feel free to pm me if not comfortable posting on the big thread. Apologies for the quality of the photo.

Is that a certain tommy burns in that photo?
Sorry don’t know anybody else in it if it is tb

A RADIO host has been accused of “weaponising child abuse” and spreading “anti-Irish” racism after a rant on social media.

In a now deleted tweet, Talk Radio host Mike Graham claimed to thousands of followers that Celtic was “the paedo’s football club”.

That came after being questioned by Twitter user John O’Connell, who asked why Mr Graham had not criticised the Government over a lack of quarantine for people returning to the UK during the coronavirus pandemic.
The host repeatedly called Mr O’Connell “Paddy”, sparking claims of anti-Irish racism.
After being called out for the “unacceptable” actions by Twitter user @TheEssexHoops, the host replied: “Celtic. The paedo’s football club”.
On Monday, the Parkhead club confirmed they had taken legal advice following what they called “pathetic” comments.
Now, a group “campaigning against anti-Catholic bigotry and anti-Irish racism in Scotland” have issued a scathing statement against Mr Graham.

A spokeswoman for Call It Out said: “Mr Graham has not only weaponised child sex abuse in pursuit of a petty social media dispute, but he has distributed a racist trope in which, on the basis of his victim’s perceived nationality he has abused his intelligence in a public forum.

“His display of anti-Irish racism is potentially a criminal offence - it is most definitely an example of the kind of racist, hate-filled discourse which makes minority communities feel unsafe and silences them in the public space.

“He, and his employers, should reflect on that.”

Mr Graham, a previous editor of the Scottish Daily Mirror and assistant editor of the Daily Express, now hosts the 10am-1pm Talk Radio slot after replacing Julia Hartley-Brewer in January 2018.

In February, Celtic issued an apology to the victims of historic sex abuse within the club and the Celtic Boy’s Club.

Four men associated with Celtic or the boys’ club – James McCafferty, Frank Cairney, Jim Torbett and Gerald King – have been convicted of historical child sex abuse.

A spokesman for Celtic Football Club yesterday said: “We have been made aware of these pathetic comments and have taken legal advice.

“We understand the tweet has now been removed. We do not believe this matter or the individual concerned is worthy of any further comment.”

Talk Radio and Mike Graham have been contacted for comment.

Talking about child abuse is worse than the actual crime in Scotland

So the 1.6b Roman Catholics in the world are a minority are they ?

There’s maybe 5 of them for every two Presbyterian/Lutherans.

And maybe Call it Out should be examined for their composition ? Aren’t they all RC, including some with terrorist supporting histories ?

If I I remember right, any statement the bastards have made has included many words, but sorry never one of them. A lot of "regret" and "sorrow" but never an apology in black and white. So that part is factually incorrect.

Second part isn't technically wrong, it's just the absolute bare minimum they have to say. They choose not to mention Torbett was re-employed after it was known he was a bheast. Normally it's quoted as "4 convicted in the last year," but that isn't the case here, so to say 4 men in connection have been convicted isnt true, when they miss out John Cullen the photographer and Neil Strachan of CBCEast. Should read 6 convicted with connections to celtc.

They never apologized, and it's 6 convictions SO FAR. It's subtle, but that is still the media doing their bit to keep it from blowing up. All about the narrative, hence victim mode deflection shields being set to max by the misleading and surreptitious factions like Call It Out.

"Celtic FC has expressed sympathy but continues to insist that the boys’ club was a separate organisation with which it had 'historic contacts'."

"Although Celtic FC is a separate organisation, we take these claims extremely seriously because of the historic contacts between the two organisations.”

"The Parkhead club continues to insist that the Boys Club was a separate entity."

"Celtic said last night that it was 'very sorry' the abuse had happened, but continued to insist that Celtic Boys Club was a separate organisation with which it had 'historic contacts'."

"Although Celtic Football Club is a separate organisation, we take these claims extremely seriously because of the historic contacts between the two organisations.”

'Separate' is a much-used word in these reports on child sex abuse.

The Times also used the word in a report from the 18th Jan titled 'Paedophiles In Football Co-operated As A Network' on the link between McCafferty and Barry Bennell - "One survivor has presented fresh evidence, claiming he was abused separately by McCafferty and Bennell after being introduced to them by Bill Kelly, a former coach with the now-defunct West Lothian team Uphall Saints. Kelly (84) was jailed for sexually assaulting at least 12 players at the club over a period of 22 years."

Separate Serpents FC

We know it's no coincidence, but it's not us that need that clarified. Media drive the narrative and the campaign. They can hunt or they can protect. Hopefully when, and not if, justice happens, all those who helped conceal this atrocity will be known and they get theirs, right alongside the evil scum responsible.

What a disgraceful way to govern a country. Votes will not be sacrificed whatever the crime but if anyone abuses Neil Lennon it will be condemned before the coin hits his face/jacket/ribs...whatever. What a shithole country Scotland has become.

What gets me is, when the local MP or MSP writes to whatever government, the bog standard reply is sent back to whatever politician, who then forward to original complainer.

Are the local politicians unable to realise that these replies are taken from a template? They never query any standard reply. DO THEY ACTUALLY READ ANY OF THE CORRESPONDENCE? Are the complaints just read by underlings and treated as unimportant?

We actually had the same problem a couple of years ago with standard replies. Constant pressure and refusing to take no for an answer got us there. When it came to a certain so called justice secretary then I went through conservative MPs in Westminster to show them the replies I was getting. Within 2 days of notifying them I got the reply from Humza. It was a detailed reply but he was still continuing to hide behind the SFA review.
We always quoted each MSP to other MSP’s. That seemed to also do the trick.
From our experience there are MSP’s out there that do support a motion for a full independent inquiry, but Humza won’t budge, and as you can see he won’t even comment on the issue or contact victims or their families.

“he won’t even comment on the issue or contact victims or their families.”

This is what gets me. He is answerable to every single citizen in our country, regardless of whether he disagrees with their political allegiances, religion or race. He is in a position where it is under his remit to make sure justice is running properly and carried out in this country. He is negligent in his duties and he should be under scrutiny when an investigation into this whole episode is carried out. Any enquiry should be scrutinising the motives of those who have refused to communicate with victims or their families, and members of the public who have contacted politicians regarding their concerns over this issue.

Frankly, if Humza Yousef, as Justice Secretary, cannot separate his duties from his private feelings on the matter then he should step aside.

Don’t worry SAB, a certain person has that on their bucket list:D

Would love that Useless Bastard to get found out big time

Ignoring the Gray family and all the other victims is a total dereliction of the “Justice Secretary” duties and if we had a proper impartial press in the UK this idiot would have been removed after his driving offence whilst serving in the Scottish Council as a Transport Secretary

Useless is way out of his depth and he should be hounded for his lack of action

Hiding behind the SFA report into CSA is not good enough

He should be focusing on the existing 6 paedos who have already been convicted in the courts for abusing kids at CBC and CFC

Discussing the past convictions causes no breach of any judicial issue with any future or current court cases

Useless is a coward and protecting Nonce FC

Shame on him

I agree. He definitely doesn’t want to stand up against his beloved team. Going by his correspondence he also seems under qualified to hold such an important position.
