Celtic. Media trying to ‘move along’ - the unanswered questions

Admin may wish to merge with another thread but things are moving along rapidly here in Celtics favour and folk seem easy pleased at postponed matches as some form of win.

We now have Celtic minded ‘journos’ in the Sun Herald wherever is actually using UEFA stating ‘The match is scheduled for Tuesday 18th at 7:45 and we will make no further comment’ as ‘UEFA give the go ahead for the match’.

This in turn is to stop the awkward questions

Will any of the below feature on your phone ins tonight or print media tomorrow

Why are we now at 4 hours after the Scottish Football JRG ‘commended Celtic’ and postponed 2 of their matches, but we still do not officially know.

1. Where are the SFA disciplinary rules for 2020/21 with covid addendum online ? SFA site has a 19/20 broken link on their page. SPFL league document has covid addendum and is available.

How can anyone know if Bolingoli was firstly eligible and what subsequent sanction Celtic should now face ?

2. There are two Celtic FC matches postponed.

On what covid protocol basis are these matches postponed ?

Is this Government level intervention ? (See UEFA rules)

Are Celtic currently subject to quarantine ?

Is there a definite rule regarding the date at which any such quarantine expires ?

How can anyone possibly declare that Celtics UEFA match ‘definitely goes ahead’ given this radio silence.

3. Why is there no reference anywhere to Kilmarnock FC and the ‘public health implication’ on them stated by Jason Leitch at 12:30.

* At 18:45 he has popped up with a soundbite on Kilmarnock https://www.followfollow.com/forum/...-the-unanswered-questions.130251/post-6658436

Why no SFA investigation into when they knew he had been in Spain? Did they know and include him in the squad for Killie regardless?

and why it is not the government two weeks imposed Isolation ?

From BBC Scotland:

It will be "very difficult" for Boli Bolingoli to be accepted back into the Celtic dressing room, says "livid" manager Neil Lennon.

The defender's Covid-19 rules breach has led to the postponement of Celtic's next two Scottish Premiership fixtures.

Lennon says that is a "fair" punishment after Bolingoli did not quarantine following a trip to Spain last week and then played against Kilmarnock.

"We have been bitterly and sorely let down," said the Celtic manager.

Lennon believes two games being postponed is a fair punishment. But it's not a punishment, it's a public health issue.

There should be (needs to be?) a club and player punishment from the SPFL and/or the SFA.

There’s no way the mhanks would approve that, Liewell and Lennon are many things, stupid isn’t one of them.

Why would you go to Spain for 1 day aswell?

Theory: they found out about his trip and got him on the phone telling him to get his £rse up the road pronto. Soon after, they reckon he's managed to get away with this undetected and include him in the squad for Killie.

Killie need to drive the campaign and ask why are the scum being allowed to play an ineligible player

Precedents have been set (Hearts and Clyde) getting points deductions for playing ineligible players

If Killie don’t want to ask then Stewart Robertson needs to ask the SPL and SFA what are they doing to punish the scum

It’s no use sitting back we have to go on the offensive and demand sanctions against the scum

So what are st. mirren being punished for?

Not even a “hoopy (Boak)to face grilling” headline. I just can’t shake the feeling this was far from a mistake or oversight and all on the player. I’d go as far as stating it’s cheating with the real positives shrouded in smoke and mirrors.

Why does no one in government give a flying f.uck about kids being raped for past 50 years but a breach of covid guidance brings the government in and still they miss the point

Killie manager was on stv praising Celtc and they didn't know.

They know who holds the power.

Jason Leitch believes a punishment is due

This is an exercise in looking like they’ve done wrong and suffered while getting exactly what they want imo. If we remove the smoke and mirrors, including the biggest, scariest thing ever, being booted out of Europe, what does the extra time of these postponements gain them? If there was never any chance of any punishment, what have they lost, compared to what they’ll gain?
The sfa has praised them publicly so they haven’t even had a bit of bad press. They’re cheats.

The OP is spot on.

We should be pursuing this and the points raised with the utmost vigour.
Our club/board should be demanding answers to the points stated.

However, I dont think I'm alone in saying that i feel that Stewart Robertson doesn't have the "fire in his belly" to pursue any issues or fights against the corrupt SPL.
