We need to have VAR at Hampden for finals and semi finals. There is too much at stake to leave it to human error. I didn’t think it was that blatant. VAR would have sorted this in 10 seconds.
Stop arguing for the sake of it, the point being made is obvious. But no-one is offside until the ball is kicked. I'm not saying it wasn't offside or that the officials were exceedingly inept. This arguement about how long they were offside for is ridiculous. In my humble opinion.
You could add the push in the back on one Hamilton defender and high boot in face of another leading to their injury time winner last weekAgree with this. The incidents in the last games have changed the whole dynamic of our season, we have lost a Cup final and now trail in the league and poor refereeing decisions (as well as our own incompetence, which should not be forgotten) have played a big part.
I firmly accept poor refereeing calls go for and against all teams during a season. However what we have witnessed in these two games are just inexcusable from professional officials, the 3 most glaring errors were not difficult calls to make, a blind man could see each and every one.
1. Beaton called a foul on Morelos inside penalty box but awarded freekick despite having uninterupted view only 6 feet from incident.
2. 3 Celtic players clearly offside at winning goal, and tv evidence shows they were in the offside position for 7 seconds before kick taken.
3. Celtic keeper two yards of line as Morelos strikes the ball at our penalty.
None of these decisions were in anyway difficult calls. If numbers 2 and 3 were called correctly no one would have had any grounds for complaint. Why they weren't gives us very strong grounds to complain. Rangers, over to you.
They are offside when the ball is kicked mate, the op states that in his postNot defending it..... but is that right?
Thought it was the case you could stand offside as such but it is where you are when the ball is played that counts.
You seem to be arguing with yourself. If it is indeed “glaringly obvious” then why no flag? But it doesn't. Its glaringly obvious to see they're offside when it's kicked but this tactic is used globally. I'm not having the they were offside for how ever many seconds. Just preposterous.
Even Barry Ferguson is at it now on that stupid football thing on Facebook. According to him, we're at fault for the offside goal. Not the linesman for ignoring it.
Also now the narrative now the scum are pushing is Helander played them all onside.
This is the shite we're up against, even by one of our own. Fergusson is an absolute wank. Used to like him but he's got his tougne wedge firmly in lawells arse too.
Wasnt an error. Officals probably wanted an easy life. That CANNOT be error.
