Hopefully the folk that made Spotlight are eyeing a follow up. There’s certainly plenty material to work with and it would blow Scotland apart from top to bottom. The government, the media, the police/judiciary, the (catholic) church, the SFA - all culpable.

Hopefully they are sued in the US. Scotland’s self acclaimed best justice system in the world seems very ill-equipped to provide justice to the victims.

Sad situation where you face an onslaught from the media and authorities when you don’t pay your taxes but everyone stays quiet over covering up child abuse.

Despite their silence, and their pathetic claims that the boys club was a different entity, and their friends in the press playing to tbeir agenda in their' sordid sttempts to draw us into the whole squalid siruation, you better believe - that just like their church - their mhanky club will have taken out conprehensive insurance policies in preparation this whole situation worsening to a catastrophic level.

I hope the the victims get the justice they deserve ,no child should have to suffer the systematic abuse they endured that pain and anguish dreams/flashbacks never goes away no matter how much therapy you receive , Parkhead should be torn down brick by brick as it is a constant reminder for the survivors that they had their childhoods destroyed there.

Beast FC should be pursued by all victims in civil cases for compensation

That Daily Record article in 1996 re the Cairney assault in New Jersey is damning and now Cairney has been convicted in UK any other players assaulted and one of the victims reckons it’s over a 100 boys then the compensation claims could go through the roof

Torbett convicted twice

King convicted

Strachan convicted

Cullen convicted

McCafferty up in court this year

If the US lawyers do get involved then Cairney and Beast FC will be shitting themselves

Compensation Specialist Lawyers in the US and UK will look at the above convictions and sue Beast FC for a lot of compensation for the victims

As soon as one victim wins a case others will come forward and if Cairney alone abused over a 100 then there will be a long list of victims

All this going on and SNP Govt have not commented on it once asking for a full public inquiry into how this abuse remained a secret for over 40 years!!

A civil law suit and a criminal case can happen concurrently but very seldom do. Generally the criminal case occurs first, followed by a civil case if that is also being sought. It’s important to realize the burden of proof in civil courts is easier than in criminal cases and also, much to do with that , a not guilty finding in a criminal case does not mean the civil case will follow the same path. A good example was the O.J. Simpson case. Not guilty in the criminal case, liable for $33.5 million in civil cases.
I'm sure the Goodwillie rape case was the same.

We would not make any comment.

There you have the Celtic FC response to clear proof of a paedophile ring abusing children in their official youth team.

Speaks volumes for what level of humanity they inhabit.

I don't think there's an insurance company on the planet the gives you cover for harbouring and facilitating child rape

If Cairney abused kids on US soil, he himself may face extradition and trial, never mind the financial shitstorm that would collapse on the Piggery Peasants. ? Knowing the SNP, they would fight tooth and nail to prevent extraditions to US courts.
Doubt that mate. HS in London would never deny the USA extradition

This horrible football club should be be made to pay compensation, there should be independent inquiry from top to bottom and soon before to many tarriers in high places make undisclosed payments or make sure things can’t be done.

It was a f*cking peadophile ring being ran from top to bottom out with the millions and millions of compensation they should be closed down for good for their shameful deeds.

The world would be a better place without it.

I hope the victims will get real justice through this avenue.

It will also put Scotland and the disgraceful neglect of our Judiciary and Politicians to shame.

Penn State FC indeed ,would be great if the achievements Penn State were wiped out during their scandal happens to their east end of Glasgow counterparts.I very much doubt it though!.
Honestly mate I couldn't give a flying one for their honours past and more recent.
Let them keep them along with their sequence of tainted titles.....give them a hundred of them.

What's important is the poor victims get justice and proper closure on this.
