What's the betting it's given the go ahead on appeal ?

Celtic Football Club have been told they can't install a rotating TV screen outside their Parkhead stadium.

An application by the club for a 7.6 metre by 3.8 metre wide revolving LED display has been rejected by Glasgow City Council.

The screen was planned to be used for showing adverts and live and recorded TV images.
It would have installed on an eight-metre high pole on the right of Celtic Way approach to Parkhead, beside the VIP car park, on Kerrydale Street.
City planners rejected the proposal on the grounds that it would distract drivers on nearby London Road.

They added that it would form a “dominant and incongruous feature, to the detriment of visual amenity”.
The club will be able to appeal against the decision.

They leave the lights and the screens inside the stadium on regularly.

The whole approach - 'the Celtic Way' - is tacky as hell. Like the estate of a nouveau riche Lottery winner from Coatbridge. There is no sense of taste or class. This latest idea would fit right in. The only thing missing would be a 10-metre LED 'Live, Laugh, Love' sign.

Saving there millions for the big component claims

Doesn’t the shitheap behind where it would go already do that? Why didn’t that get refused planning permission?

Haha surely that statement should be enough to bring the whole chamber of secrets to the ground

How about a doo hut instead ?
:D

The whole place is a bright green neon lit eyesore as it is. They keep the place lit 24-7. Hardly ecological. Or dare I say, “green”.
If this story has appeared after 3 years there will be an agenda behind it.

You'd have thought they'd have been glad of something to block the view of that shithole of a stadium. The rejection probably comes with an advisory note to ask for an even bigger tele the next time.

Take it they are talking about the whole shitehole?

This could define the piggery itself

It would have been used as a propaganda brainwashing device similar to those used in North Korea.

double post.

It's a disgrace how much GCC has spent on the are surrounding the shit pit. It was surrounded by waste ground now it looks the part without the tramps paying a penny for it

Instead of moaning like %^*& about that the poets want to do, we should be trying our hardest to get on a level footing.

I honestly cannot for the life of me understand why a football club needs a rotating TV outside the ground, what is the benefit?

A big TV on the Saville Row? Wonder if it will be showing Tim'll fix it videos on how to sweep unwanted publicity under a very large carpet
