Characters from Ibrox (supporters).

Angie Gascoigne isn't the woman with kermit the frog but i'd say Angie Gascoignes name deserves to be on this thread in her own right. She's defo a character.
She certainly does, especially after what she did to get into the piggery in December 2019, when she couldn’t get a ticket for that match :)
Her dad (Gadger) would have been smiling from Blue Heaven that day!

The person goes by the nickname of “The Naked bear” if I remember correctly his name is Eli or something similar and comes from mossblown/ Ayr- he was even escorted out of Ibrox in a blizzard for his own safety by stewards for only wearing a vest - stewards were unaware of his medical condition where his body overheats and he cannot feel the cold - he explained and still got chucked out
Thats the one,mate

Still see the Naked Bear in Ayr from time to time,Bitterest cold days and he’s nicking about in a vest.

Yep. That rings a bell.

The mental two old woman (twins) who were hyper as %^*&! When I worked in the sauchiehall street shop I used to always get cornered by them and have to talk about Rangers for 20-30 minutes when I was supposed to be working. They were a good laugh but always awkward when the boss was about and your trying to sort out a display or something and they are jabbering away to you :))
they sometimes danced along paisley road west after games

I will always remember the Macaroon Guy in the East Enclosure hence the name. Spearmint, Rolls, Crisps and Macaroon Bars out his brown bag. He looked a bit like Richie from Bottom, Brown trench coat and greasy hair haha

Mind the other wee guy what wore the hat with all the badges on them? Haven’t seen him for a wee while right enough. Always see Pogo can’t really miss him haha
For some reason I always end up behind Pogo every time we go to Accies away.

Funny thing though the first time I ever come across him someone referred to him mistakenly as Bongo and I thought his nickname was Bongo for years lol.

Anyone ever remember the guy with the ginger hair and black crombie who used to sell the Orange tapes just round the corner from the old Rangers shop in the early 80s?

When you walked up to him the coat flew open like a flasher and he had all the tapes taped inside the coat and hed shout " HERE LIES A SOLJAH".

Was gonna post about Gadger but someone beat me to it....some boy and sadly missed

I used to go on the Nithsdale and there were some right crazies on there.

I only found out recently through Monty that Spider had passed away.

I'd been in a few undercover missions behind enemy lines with him....nearly got the jail because of him and ruined a burberry shirt because of him.....I called him jonah..every away..something happened!

Proper madman was spider...some guy

on a lighter note - young Gary and Angie are indeed a chip off the old block. If Angie ever gets a filter installed I’ll give up fitba :)

Guy sat in front of me (Copland rear old yellow section halfway up)for 20 years. He was late every week absolutely bladdered.Gave away pies chocolate etc to anyone sitting around him.Always left early and jumped up whistled at random times clapping his hands and pointing left or right towards the wings.Went for years then disappeared.Anyway I meet him at the big walk one July and I said how you doing mate?Where you been? He’s looking at me as if to say who the fu*k are you?I say I sit behind you at Ibrox. He is clueless.sat 2 rows behind you for 15-20 years spoke to you umpteen times?Yet stone cold sober didn’t know me.

Sat about ten rows behind me this guy. Somewhere between a legend and a pain in the arse.

Anyone remember a guy who used to dress as a punk or on occasion a goth and had satanic tattoos?

Anytime I was in the Blue Star he seemed to be in.

Years ago now.
The bold Freddie (satan) had a beer with him a couple of times, very pally with boys i knew.

I don’t get to anywhere near as many games as most of you guys but when I do get up for games I always meet fantastic bears & bearettes who always give me a warm welcome, meet some right loon’s as well, never forget a lad asking for Kyle Minogue song requests for him to sing on the subway back to St Enoch after a European game, mad as a box of frogs.

European games always bring out some roasters most are good humoured though just full of the drink but then people probably say the same about me on euro trips or certain away games

Similar place and time, the old boy with the suit and bunnet playing the penny whistle.

Yeah still alive & well. Not been to a game in a while but still 100% blue.
Couldn’t afford the season ticket & all the travel costs so regrettably wasn’t able to keep going.Got back into music & when funds finally got better started going to live Ska/Punk bands again.Have been back to a few games though & intend to get to as many as possible in the future.Cheers & all the very best to you all
