Charlie Nicholas: I’ve always had suspicions about King Rangers boardroom drama is weird

I was just sitting here thinking, but I can’t remember what about, it might have been about what’s his name, but maybe not

Even with autocue he cannot get it right but now he’s a business expert.Aye right

Charles, I have always had the suspicion that you are the kind of person who thinks 2 plus 2 equals 5.

"I met Douglas Park a lot when I travelled with the Rangers party to cover their Champions League games.

"I don’t think Douglas was ever interested in getting anywhere near as involved as he is."

So people's views and desires can't change over fuckin 10 years?

What a stupid bastard.
Mate they’ve not changed I used to be involved in a business that did a lot of business with Parks. He didn’t get on with SDM but he was always one of the biggest bears I’ve ever met and you bet he wanted to run the club.

There are still our own supporters who want Ashley involved. One sits in front of me.
That’s certainly the case on some other Rangers forums some hold that view. I cannot understand it. Actions speak louder than words.

He's got "suspicions" but he's not actually told us what these suspicions are. Stupid waste of space.

Why did he want to fight Ashley ffs?

What is it the mhedia dont get or more pacifically why do they choose to ignore it... eh charlie?

Charlie Ridiculous...me thinks you thinky too much.
Keep to your own Charlie and leave our business to us !! .

Sorry mate I based my anger on the fact that some kind of conversation took place hahaha.
I was in Charlies fantasy land where important people speak to him.

If he thinks that's weird, what does he think about a board that covers up even to this day historical rape and sexual assaults of young players at their affiliated boys club ? The open secret.

Ahh there he is, after a few things he said recently that made sense (undoubtably to show balance) here he comes with a theoretical pish “story” alluding to some wider conspiracy, surely any “journalist” or even anyone that bothered to look - knows why Rangers would want to continuously fight Mike Ashley. He is a moon howler with zero credibility, the reality is he probably sitting pishing himself while writing a lot of shite and picking up a wage - but the cuts are coming Charlie Bhoy.

I like that Charlie has opinions about the behaviours of Football Club owners and now wait to see his next installment regarding Celtic owners.

CHARLIE NICHOLAS has admitted he always held suspicions about Dave King - and claimed Rangers' boardroom drama is 'weird'.

The former Light Blues chief announced an immediate end to his time as the Ibrox club's chairman in a statement last week.

His former deputy, Douglas Park, has taken on the role in an interim capacity for now.

In the days since, former Rangers shareholder Jim McColl appeared to suggest he'd been approached by Liverpool's owners, Fenway Sports Group, about a potential buy-out.

He has since clarified they are NOT interested, rather that he has held discussions with people about replicating their philosophy.

While Graeme Souness has admitted he would love to return to Ibrox in a boardroom role.

Now, Celtic hero Nicholas reckons the drama in the Light Blues' boardroom has become "weird" as he insisted he always held suspicions about King.

Writing in the Daily Express, he said: "Rangers at boardroom level have now become interesting.

First you have wealthy businessman Jim McColl interested in copying Liverpool’s Moneyball philosophy.

"Then Graeme Souness claims he would love to join the Ibrox board. There is something going on out there

It is all a bit weird that in this time of uncertainty you still have the prospect of investors.

"Change looks to be in the air but can they get it right?

"The chairmanship at Rangers in the past seemed to be like a game of musical chairs.

"They must have run round the boardroom before they decided who will be next.

"I met Douglas Park a lot when I travelled with the Rangers party to cover their Champions League games.

"I don’t think Douglas was ever interested in getting anywhere near as involved as he is.

"Maybe his son would have pushed but now Douglas finds himself as the main man after Dave King stepped down.

"I always had my suspicions about King. What was going on and why did he continually want to fight Mike Ashley?"

You'll never hear Coisty, Miller, Boyd or Alex Rae comment on their boardroom, their management etc so why do their ex players have so much to say about us?

Go easy on Charlie, he isn’t the brightest and only gets the gig on Sky Sports because of his name and not his brain

Indeed.
Are we to believe for a millisecond that Douglas Park would be sharing his innermost thoughts or his future desires/intentions with Charlie fckn Nicholas?

Why are ex Celtic players always asked to comment on Rangers but ex Rangers players never asked to comment on the scum?

did Charlie ever see any suspicious activity over at the big jock knewcamp ? think he'd be better pondering that one over.....
