Chasing buses

Been a long while since I tried chasing the supporters buses for tickets. Any of the regular away travellers let me know if there are usually spares going at games these days?
Have pals over from Oz this weekend keen to go see us at Motherwell. No joy on ticket office so contemplating going up to fir park and chancing it.
Still worth a try or don’t bother?

I dont go to away games anymore myself but Away tickets are quite hard to come by there will be guys who go or try to go to games every week will be struggling for tickets so if a few guys on holiday from oz got tckts and they have never been to a game so if i was a fan who goes every week and cant get tckts i wouldnt be happy

Sure Motherwell have cut our allocation again this season.Of course this being Scottish football you'll see thousands of empty seats.
Years gone by you'd pick a ticket up 8 times out of 10 now you'd be doing very well to get 1 nevermind 3.

Fair enough mate. But that’s why I was asking if there were loads of spares going off the buses. I used to travel home and away and sometimes see fistfuls of tickets are some games.
not trying to take tickets away from regulars bud.

With the exception of the piggery I reckon there's always a chance. Saw a guy chasing one on Sunday there and ended up with two. Would I fancy getting one or two at an early KO in Motherwell, yeah I would if honest. That said, it's all about time and place I suppose.
As someone else said on a previous post there will be a casualty or two on Sunday morning.

its pot luck buddy, I have seen a few games this season that tickets have went up for sale, I even seen one on Sunday which shocked me. Also heard those fecking manc voices walking about with their wee ticket shout that are normally at games in England, hopefully thats not going to see touts sneaking in to our game.

Take your chance mate, I know one of the guys I know has got a ticket outside Tynecastle and Hamilton this season.

Just buy them for the home end , I’d imagine the section beside our end will be full of rangers fans.

edit - tried this , turns out you can’t unless you have purchased tickets before for Motherwell home games.

Went last season, Arfield hattrick game, got one outside. Few around. If you're hoping for two together, then very unlikely!

The buses are struggling to get tickets to cover themselves.

Either home end or hee-haw
Was going to ask how the supporters buses were doing, back in the 80's when I went the buses were always full and everyone had tickets but we must be getting a third of the tickets we used to get.

Went on and joined but won’t let you buy online. Called club. First purchase not allowed to be OF tickets. Lol.
Yeah done the same , have to have a history of purchasing tickets before buying any for Rangers/Celtic

For Motherwell the best bit is near to the junction and the burger van near the car garage where most congregate before the game. Usually if I have had spare, I have sold them there.

I’m in the main stand, hopefully there will be a few bears scattered about.

I know one of their former youth players, he told me he could get me tickets for main stand but strongly advised against it, unless you can sit on your hands with your mouth shut for 90 minutes you’ll be escorted out.

I told him no point in that I wouldn’t see by 5 minutes, I’ll take my chances outside stadium.

A lot of buses are now linking up for certain away games due to the smaller allocations and not getting as many tickets. Members not getting as many games via away scheme and RSC tickets being cut.

Used to be that the likes of Killie/ Motherwell were pretty much a guarantee for getting tickets. Not anymore sadly.

Oh for the good old days when you only had turn up early enough to pay at the gate before the Bears packed the place out, while the home fans kept out the way in a wee corner. We used to fill every ground and the diddy clubs were grateful for it.

It’s my only chance of a ticket,I’m too old to be chasing busses.
I’ll take the risk.

I usually just arrive at the ground before any buses in the parking areas and approach them as they arrive.

I don't even have an ST and I've been at more aware this year than some on CCCS!

In Dingwall last month there were supporters arriving off of buses with no tkts in the offcahnce of picking up a tickets. Also away end tickets were a non starter. I saw one guy get a ticket from 5pm to 7:30pm so my advice would be that you are wasting your time. I am led to believe it was similar at Pittodrie last week

Understand your point but I think if people can be arsed going to that sort of effort then, fair play, I wouldn't grudge them it.

It's getting harder this season for the busses to get enough tickets to cover the members, Stevie G effect I suppose.

Back in the day we use to drive to away games and park close to the nearest slip road to the ground off the motorway and try the busses there.

Always worked, there's always someone who doesn't trap due to hangovers. :)

I hope they get a couple. You want to deny them because they haven’t been before? How did you get in to your first game? Hope it wasn’t a regulars ticket
