Who was the best Rangers manager of all time

Glasgow Rangers has had many successful managers throughout its history, so it is difficult to identify one as the "best Rangers manager of all time." However, a few notable names that are often considered among the best are:
  1. Bill Struth - He was the longest-serving manager in Rangers' history, leading the club for 34 years from 1920 to 1954. During his tenure, he won 18 league titles, 10 Scottish Cups, and 2 League Cups.
  2. Walter Smith - He managed Rangers for two spells from 1991 to 1998 and from 2007 to 2011. He won 21 trophies in total, including 10 league titles, 5 Scottish Cups, and 6 League Cups.
  3. Graeme Souness - He managed Rangers from 1986 to 1991 and won three league titles, four Scottish Cups, and one League Cup during his tenure. He is also credited with revolutionizing Scottish football by bringing in many talented players from abroad.
It's worth noting that many other managers have also achieved success at Rangers, and the choice of the "best" depends on various factors such as individual preferences, the team's accomplishments, and the era they managed in.

I asked if for our weakest starting eleven and got a bizarre answer that has Eyal Berkovic in midfield.

What would be the weakest starting eleven for Glasgow Rangers in their history ?

It is difficult to objectively determine the weakest starting eleven for Glasgow Rangers in their history, as there have been many players who have contributed to the club over the years. However, based on various factors such as individual performances, team results, and achievements, here is a possible weakest starting eleven for Rangers:

Formation: 4-4-2

Goalkeeper: Robby McCrorie (played only a handful of games for Rangers)

Defenders: Seb Rozental (struggled in his time at Rangers), Kevin Muscat (failed to make an impact in his brief spell), Jean-Alain Boumsong (signed for a hefty fee but had an underwhelming time at the club), Ross Perry (failed to establish himself as a regular)

Midfielders: Tore Andre Flo (played out of position in midfield), Emerson (failed to make an impact in his time at Rangers), Joey Barton (signed amid controversy and made little impact), Eyal Berkovic (didn't impress in his brief stint)

Forwards: Ugo Ehiogu (played up front and struggled to score), Andrei Kanchelskis (past his prime when he joined Rangers)
It's worth noting that this is just one possible lineup and is subjective, and many of the players mentioned here may have had good performances elsewhere in their careers.

If all Glasgow Rangers players in history were to compete in a royal rumble format event , who would be the most likely winner?

A royal rumble-style event is a professional wrestling match where several wrestlers compete at the same time and try to throw each other out of the ring. Since this is a hypothetical scenario and not an actual football match, it is difficult to predict who would win. However, if we were to consider the physical attributes of Rangers players throughout their history, some players who could potentially perform well in a royal rumble-style event include:
  1. Richard Gough: Known for his physical presence and strength on the field, Gough could be a formidable competitor in a wrestling match.
  2. Graeme Souness: Another player who was known for his physicality and aggressive style of play. Souness had a reputation for being a tough player and could use his strength and experience to his advantage.
  3. Lorenzo Amoruso: A commanding center-back who was known for his aggressive and physical play. Amoruso could use his size and strength to dominate his opponents.
  4. Terry Butcher: A tough and rugged defender who played for Rangers in the 1980s. Butcher was known for his bravery and willingness to put his body on the line.
  5. Jorg Albertz: A powerful midfielder who was known for his thunderous left-footed strikes. Albertz could use his strength and technique to his advantage in a wrestling match.
Of course, it is impossible to predict who would win such a competition as it depends on various factors such as luck, strategy, and timing

As an AI language model, I don't hold personal opinions or have any preferences for any team. However, I can provide a list of players who have performed poorly or underperformed during their time at Glasgow Rangers based on statistical data and expert opinions.
  1. Graham Smith (goalkeeper)
  2. Francisco Sandaza (right-back)
  3. Egil Ostenstad (centre-back)
  4. Jean-Alain Boumsong (centre-back)
  5. Emerson (left-back)
  6. Joey Barton (central midfield)
  7. Tore Andre Flo (central midfield)
  8. Kevin Muscat (central midfield)
  9. Eyal Berkovic (attacking midfield)
  10. Andrei Kanchelskis (right-wing)
  11. Ugo Ehiogu (striker)
Please note that this is a subjective list and is open to debate

If Arthur Numan or Sasa Papac isn't at LB then the discussion is moot.

P.s. I'm just too young, 4 or 5 years too young to see Super Cooper play week in week out. Has he ever played at LB?

Ask it to list the best Rangers bosman signings. Doesn’t have a scooby.

Read someone say AI is like when you read journalists thinking they’re experts, until you read something you’re an expert in & realise it’s well-worded but has plenty of holes in it.

It depends on the implementation and the breadth of the scope. Chat GPT is essentially a jack of all trades.

The full weaponisation of it doesn't bear thinking about. The thought of something like Boston Dynamics robots, with a gun and the ability to make decision is essentially Terminator realised.

Cooper at left back is a howler though. No idea how it's come to suggest that.

It’s gonna put me out a job, so for the time being I’m having it do the majority of my job.

You could swap Cooper for albertz and formation wise it would make sense. Massively weighted towards recent times though, baxter may have been before my time but he can't not be in any all time rangers xi surely. Still though as a bit of fun I've seen worse

Boumsong or Stefan Kloss.

For those of you who don't know ChatGPT is an AI program that is advanced and 'thinks' for itself

Some of the information it gives is incorrect, but it's still decent for thought

Who would be on the bench?

  1. Jim Baxter (Midfielder) - A gifted midfielder who played for Rangers between 1960 and 1965, winning three league titles and three Scottish Cups. Baxter was known for his ball control, passing ability, and creativity.

The amount of “known for leadership skills” vs today’s best eleven stands out for me.

Ironically, if it switched Albertz and Cooper around, this would actually be more impressive as well as correct - Albertz did actually play left-back for us under Walter.

No Baxter or Gazza in the first 11 though so clearly rubbish.

Can you ask the AI why she* gave my a Facebook strike for Hate Speech against a protected group when I posted the name of Lyndon Dykes?

(*Got to be a she. Women are World Class at being total c*nts, because they know they have the legal system on their side every step of the way.)

Bard is Google's version and similarly full of errors if you know the topic, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing they say.

Sebastian Faure, a former Rangers defender, is now living on the streets of Glasgow. He's lost everything, his job, his family, and his dignity. He spends his days begging for change and sleeping in alleyways. However, everything changes when he witnesses a crime and decides to take justice into his own hands.

With the help of a group of fellow homeless people, Sebastian starts fighting crime and protecting the streets of Glasgow. He becomes known as "The Homeless Ranger", a hero who always comes to the rescue.

As he goes on his crime-fighting missions, Sebastian encounters various obstacles and hilarious situations that can only happen in Glasgow. He struggles to keep his secret identity hidden from his homeless friends, who have their own quirky personalities and add to the Glaswegian humor of the show.

The Homeless Ranger's escapades draw the attention of the local police, who try to catch him while he's busy fighting crime. A comedic cat and mouse chase ensues as the Homeless Ranger outsmarts the bumbling police officers.

Throughout the series, Sebastian struggles to overcome his own personal demons and find redemption. The show balances humor and heart as it explores themes of community, friendship, and second chances.

In the end, the Homeless Ranger becomes a beloved hero in Glasgow, and Sebastian Faure finds a new purpose in life, leaving his past behind and embracing his new identity as a crime-fighting vigilante.

Unfortunately, AI is going to control our future. With Chat gpt I’ve found it is only as good as what you know yourself. Never accept its output unless you can confirm what is written to be true.

The case in point is that the Chat AI provides a fairly accurate picture of our best team, but mainly from the 1980’s onwards. Any genuine team would of necessity include Jim Baxter. If it doesn’t, then it has made a fundamental mistake. No argument.
