This has reminded me of a game I was at as a youngster. Rangers beat Everton 2-1 in a midweek friendly and a young DJ scored. Not sure the year but I remember we were in the terracing facing the main stand so it was before the Centenary Stand got built.

Any info on that game @Saltcoatsblu ?

I was at this game, free travel on the underground as the staff closed the doors on the wee booths they stood in.
The singing going to the match was good, if I recall correctly it was freezing.

Pre-season 1971. Tommy McLean’s debut. Played on a Friday evening. The following Monday we played Tottenham at Ibrox and won 1-0.

I lived in the Earls Court area a couple of years earlier.We used to walk to Stanford Bridge For the home games,and travel to other London clubs also.
More or less the same Chelsea team for the Chopper Harris testimonial.
Those were the days mate.

I worked in the exhibition industry and had a great time down there.
Took me about 20 minutes to walk there and around 5hrs to get back.

Also, I don't remember John Greig having his beard such a long time before Barcelona.
