Why do countries which have such massive populations have relative little footballing success? India's another.

About a billion each population and can't put a squad together that qualifies never mind pushes for trophies.

Football just isn't the big sport in these countries. India it's all about cricket. However they are becoming more and more popular so in the next 20 years or so I'd expect to see them competing

They do actually have a team from Wuhan. Find it hard to support them as a neutral.
