Clap for NHS Heroes

Best video of the night, Goes to some vird in london...saying its 2 mins to 8 and london is getting ready to support the NHS ,and this plum is at it again,, zooms into a neighbours living room in the lads sitting on his couch obviously watching porn hub blasting one off

Most people in our street out clapping. There is a care home at the top of our street and the shift must change at 8. Cars with staff leaving work tooting approval and windows down yelling thankyou. Very very emotional. Enormous thanks to all our NHS staff and all carers.

Not a sound in my Street very disappointed my wife and I, son and daughter outside giving it what for and nothing the wife shouted come on but nada about 30 houses in ear shot and a few bears among them be back out tomorrow hopefully shame a few

I know it won't happen, but I really would love to see anyone who goes to hospital and lashes out at any of the staff, be chucked out on the street.

Why anyone would even contemplate doing that to someone who is doing their best to help you, is beyond me.

And no excuses of being wasted on whatever you've been taking.

Following all the social distancing rules and getting PPE and equipment out to our hospitals would be a far better way of showing our support.

Shamed to say I went for a shower instead. I respect the NHS as much as anyone having had to put my faith in them more than most. I know the fantastic job they do. However clapping at 8pm just seemed like a bit of a cringeworthy social media stunt to me so I thought “nah” persuading my wife to dodge it also.

By 9pm last night though I felt ashamed we hadn’t joined our neighbours, some of whom are elderly and you all on here in showing our appreciation for the NHS. We will definitely be clapping enthusiastically at the next one.

Fantastic.
Most people are talking about the hours their putting in the effort and the great work they are doing, what seems to be getting forgotten a lot of the time is that these people are actually putting themselves at risk, in the firing line in other words and without a 2nd thought.

Once this is over I really hope NHS and those essential workers are recognised appropriately by the authorities and also by the general public in terms of the respect they deserve.

The Churchill raf quote seems very apt for The nhs at minute.

never was so much owed to so many by so few

I know the nhs aren’t few in numbers. But they deserve so much thanks & credit for the work they do even out with the current crisis

thanku nhs

I don't usually participate in these things as they can be quite cringey however had no hesitation in recognising this one. How often do we knowingly put ourselves at mortal risk?

My whole street done it,couple next door are cops as is the boy next door to them, they were out doing it aswell

I started singing if you hate the celtic clap your hands stepped out side it was heartening to see everybody on my steet feels the same.

Well done to every member of NHS staff who is working in unimaginably difficult circumstances. It takes a special person to function in such an environment and we should be eternally grateful.

As an aside, I just hope those who voted Conservative in December had the decency and self-awareness to stay in the house at 8pm last night.
