A Rangers team in the 1920s:

Rangers 6-1 Hibernian,9th November 1968. Has any player had made such an impact as Colin Stein did when he signed? Eight goals in his first three games is Roy of The Rovers stuff, but he did it. After a hat-trick in 5 minutes against Arbroath in his first game he scored another 3 in his second against his old club Hibs at an Ibrox packed with 60,000 ecstatic fans. Here he scores and then celebrates one of those goals:

In his third game against Dundalk 4 days later he scored another two (and hit the post!).

Rangers 1-0 Celtic, 1st January 1965. Jim Forrest gets Gers off to a great start in '65 with the only goal of the match, cracking the ball in from a corner. To compound the scum's misery Murdoch skied a penalty miles over the bar 6 minutes from the end :D:

Rangers 1-0 Rapid Vienna, European Cup, 18th November 1964. Davie Wilson scores the only goal of the game in the first leg at Ibrox. Gers of course won the away game the following month 2-0, but lost the peerless Jim Baxter to a broken leg in the final minute:

Rangers 1-0 Inter Milan, European Cup QF, 3rd March 1965. Gers came oh so close to knocking out the holders in this tie, ultimately losing 2-3 on agg, but had George McLean's shot not hit the bar we could have forced at least a play-off. A real "what if":

Jim Forrest is looking for another goal:

Eric Caldow clears this one off the line:

Rangers 4-0 Celtic, 1st January 1963. There's no better way to start the year!:

Harold Davis isn't in the photo but his deflected shot is on it's way to the back of the net and Gers are one goal up:

Jimmy Millar has just scored the second:

Two legends meet. John Greig and Bobby Moore prepare to kick-off in the Scotland v England match at Hampden on 24th February 1968. Scotland needed to win to qualify for the European Championships but the match ended 1-1:

A great series of photos from a Celtic gubbing. I have always liked the Davie Wilson goal photo. The “brave” Celtic player to Frank Haffey’s right was Duncan McKay

Hearts 0-4 Rangers, Scottish Cup, 2nd February 1957. Revenge for Rangers as we win by exactly the same score we lost by the previous year at the same venue as Gers knock out the holders of the cup at Tynecastle. Don Kichenbrand is the Rangers player causing havoc in the Hearts goalmouth:

Another Rangers great, this time George Young, clears his lines in a match v Kilmarnock at Ibrox c.1955/56:
