Great action shot of Big Ben in the 1949 SC Final on April 23rd, Rangers win the cup by 4 goals to 1 in front of 120,162.
A 16 year old Willie Thornton still at school but already a Ranger.
Willie Waddell in action at Ester Road,
Captain Tommy Muirhead in action in the 1920's.
Tiger Komich punches clear from an unknown Ranger, with Jimmy Smith in close attention in the famous match against Moscow Dynamo in 1945.

James 'Doc' Marshall wins a header against Hearts in a 1930's league match. Smith, McPhail & possibly McAulay are the other Rangers shown.

The legendary Jimmy Smith turns away after netting yet another goal, this time in a Wartime league game against Queens Park at Hampden.

1928 SC Final, Thomson saves under pressure from McPhail.
McStay is about to handle on the goal line, leading to the penalty taken by Davie Meiklejohn which would put us on the road to victory & the end of the hoodoo.
Bob McPhail nets Rangers 2nd despite the close attention of McStay on the line looking like he's trying to be the keeper again. Also looks like it could be offside - hope it was lol!

I really wish there was film footage from this game that showed the goals.

I can appreciate @Ronnietheranger your need to wind Celtic fans up but our second goal was never offside!!

The heroes of the 1928 Cup Final who brought us our first Scottish Cup in 25 years.
In the back row, Baillie Graham (dir.) Baillie Buchanan (Chairman) Jimmy Bowie (dir.) W. R. Simpson(dir.)
Middle row, Sandy Archibald, Jimmy Fleming, Davie Meiklejohn, Tom Hamilton, Andy Cunningham, Bob Hamilton, Jock Buchanan.
Front row, Bill Struth, Dougie Gray, Tully Craig, Tommy Muirhead, Bob McPhail, Alan Morton, James Kerr (trainer). Although pictured, Club Captain Tommy Muirhead missed the game through injury, however Rangers made sure he was awarded a medal.

Yes - it's a real shame that there doesn't seem to be any decent film of that final anywhere.
There is a 41 second clip of the game (no goals ) on YouTube ,there is also a 3 min plus footage of that seasons Glasgow cup final , which Celtic won 2-1 in front of 84,000 however it is wrongly entitled as Scottish cup final and features a Celtic goal by either McGrory or Connolly. I have pictures of the penalty , and one of Archibalds goals unfortunately I cant post on here.
