Clive Tyldesley

Some of the negativity coming from the fans yesterday definitely couldnt be classed as demanding. A lot of it is just clueless abuse of players.
It's down to fear.
That fear was realised yesterday.
It's always been thus and it's not going to change, not now, not ever.
No point in moaning about it.

Some of the groans were fully justified. Failing to pass to a team mate who is literally 3 yards away from you and instead putting the ball out for a throw in while we were on the front foot is frankly embarrassing for schoolboy level never mind us.

During commentary he was taken aback at how the Rangers fans were groaning when something didn't go right even at 1-0 up and playing clever football.
Kevin Thomson laughingly replied something along the lines "Aye Rangers fans are a demanding support Clive".
It genuinely was something that Clive in his 20 odd years of commentating on football matches had never witnessed before, he couldn't understand it.

Our fans are demanding, of course we are, 'shirt too heavy for some' and all that, that's why we are the World's Most Successful Club Clive. B-D
So we‘re supposed to be happy chappy muppets all the time, we do support our team, however when we should have been at least four up with chances scorned, I defy anyone not have a groan. From the start of the season we have been missing chances far to many times, and games that could have been put to bed in the first half, have turned into squeaky bum time.

Our fans made a noise of frustration that all fans make when we mucked up another passing move and the ball trickled out of play. Hardly a big deal , I’ve heard the same noise at hundreds of grounds over the last 50 years.

I’m first to criticise some of the reactions from the fans at Ibrox but I thought the support was good yesterday went with the teams first half performance, plenty singing and a couple of good renditions of DW when hearts were putting pressure on at the end trying to get the team over the line

Not for me....Clive knows how to commentate. Whilst he does love the sound of his own voice & research, he has the knack of doing it.

Tom just bores me to tears

You mean you don't love the quirks:

Tighter than two coats of paint
Ojooooooooo ohhhhhhhh yessssssss

I can’t criticise Clive for not knowing about the minute’s applause. Quite honestly if I hadn’t seen it on here during the week I’d have been none the wiser. I’d bet half the folk standing clapping yesterday didn’t know what it was about either.

Didn’t think yesterday was one of his better games in all honesty (if everyone else is getting why not the Commentator :) ).

Guy sitting behind me yesterday, in his 60's at least, was clearly one of these men who doesn't get to speak in the house.

Non stop clap trap and abuse for 90 minutes. Also mixed up Kamara and Aribo constantly.
Had 2 extra tickets yesterday and gave them to my mate who brought his daughter for her first game. Guy sitting next to them wasnt the regular season ticket holder for those seats. Went down to see them at half time to see how she was enjoying it and my mate said the guy next to them had just swore and screamed abuse for 45 mins straight. Met them outside after the game and he said the guy didnt bother to come back for the second half :D

Have had the same as yourself with people mixing Kamara and Aribo but best one was a guy who one week gave Barisic abuse for the first 20mins of a game until someone stopped him and said "Look mate, Barisic is injured, he's no even playing... Thats Scott Wright"

I thought some of his commentary today was a bit shall we say non partisan
I think he should take off his neutral head and be a bit more partisan if you like and remember its Rangers tv he's commenting for

Been thinking the same since he started commentating for us. Mentions them too much, I ain't interested knowing their score when they are winning.

Having a fan (Tom) commentating was much more entertaining, his patter was like nothing I've heard before or since..haha

Thats tragic man. I remember a few years ago when we were all going game to game I got stuck in front of one of these weapons that think they know it all because they play football manager. He sat and announced and commentated on the game the entire night with his fake Glasgow uni accent talking the biggest load of shite. He went off on a mad rant and hits out with: “Lee Wallace hasn’t even contributed to the game for 15 minutes.”

I had the great pleasure of turning round and telling him Lee Wallace was subbed 20 minutes ago.

Every fucking game they go on about Kevin Thomson tackling ffs give it a rest. Thought it was mince yesterday, bring back Tom

KT's voice is droning and i find him boring. Not a fan of Clive either, too much talk of the opposition and waffling, its not ITV its Rangers TV.
Tom Miller may be excitable but a proper Rangers man at heart.
People's opinions differ on here who they prefer, it a bit like where would you rather watch a Rangers away game, in the Louden or the Auctioneer's.
One is a proper Rangers pub the other ain't.
Just my opinion.

I did like KT telling Clive that he'd love to play against Devlin because "I wouldn't miss him in the tackle, that's for sure" :D

Why does everybody always call it “Timmy porn” ?

It strikes me as burying ones head in the sand when we dismiss things we might feel uncomfortable addressing as “Timmy porn”
Its a myth, that's why. Timmy are saying we fluked last year because of covid and the mess they created for themselves. We have mountains of evidence we can perform comfortably in front of crowds. Massive European wins, big domestic away wins, half a dozen old firm wins including one away.
It is a load of bollocks and we don't need our own supporters adding to the theory on here.

The mentally challengeds present it in terms of we “can’t play infront of crowds” which is nonsense.

But to completely dismiss the notion that the anxiety of the Ibrox crowd doesn’t transmit onto the pitch in tight games is to bury your head in the sand

And it has been as such forever and a day. We are still top of the "crowds let back in league" after 9 games.

Funny that.

Were they sat GF close to the halfway line? If so then they have my sympathies :D

Groaning because we’ve watched this story so many times before. If you don’t get that second goal then as the game goes on the deeper we drop and invite the punt up the park. It was clear yesterday at about 70 mins that either we were going to score or they were

guy a couple of rows behind me with the worlds most boring voice.
the only time you hear him is when he is criticising. you never hear him praisisng any good play.

Three guys in front of me walking out of the ground and one of them piped up
"Fvcking McGregor, shouldn't even be playing for Rangers"

Nah the issue is a good percentage of 'fans' at Ibrox haven't got a clue about football and just want to moan for a few hours because they probably don't get their hole at home anymore.

The same types on here who proudly boast "I don't watch football other than Rangers'.

You actually hear moans around Ibrox when someone passes the ball sideways to retain possession.
" Tippy tappy shite... Gerritupehparkfurfuxsake"

Being away from home, I had to rely on alternative ways to watching the game and ended up with a link with audio only, Tom Miller and someone else in full flow. Checked back later and got video too and then it was like day and night, so I was thinking I was watching some Hearts TV stream or the like, ere Tyldesley asked Thomson something. Honestly, Tom Miller has his shortcomings, but he`s been with us through think and thin on the way back, is a vault of knowledge about anything Rangers and oozes Rangers like your next Bear. When Tyldesley was talking up Tavernier late in the game, how good a job he had made since he was signed up "on a free" (we paid Wigan 225k, which might be counted as a "free" in the modern market ... ), I just shook my head.

What was the reason again why we brought in Tyldesley? Honest question, since I (over here in Germany) haven`t heard about him before.

That'll be the squeaky voiced prick that sits next to me in the EE you heard today Clive. Never fucking stops.

I swear I'm going to end up lamping the fucker.

SE3?

If it is the same guy, he was a helluva quiet yesterday.

He was on his own right enough, so didn’t have us usual audience.

He’ll have a nose full of powder for Thursday though, so you’ll likely get your chance then:D

And some of the comments on this thread actually show how petulant and pathetic we are after a poor result.

“Clive wants to be one of us but never will be”

“Tom’s an embarrassment”

Imagine being so partisan over who does the commentary. Pathetic stuff

“Wants to be one of us but never will”

I wonder if Clive knows he has to get signed off by some old duffer on FF before he can officially become a fan :))

SE4.

I’m row N, he’s the row in front.
The urge to fucking slap him on the top of his heid is overwhelming.
I’m gonna get huckled one day,

“Get it forward furfuxake”.

Fucking Joe Pasquale voiced c unt.

Clive is a bit like a new signing who doesn't understand that Rangers must win every game. For some players it takes time to understand. For Clive, he had the "luxury" of last season BCD so having fans in the stadium is new to him.

In my opinion, there are some folk in football who will never understand "us". And he's one of them. A good commentator but don't for a minute think he is one of us.
