Club write to Sturgeon

so you can’t be a Rangers fan because of the party you vote for?
Is this you working up to telling us you vote for a party that not only institutionally despises us as a group, as a club and as a concept, but a party that wants to destroy the country and people they profess to love over a flag and border?

If so, just lay your cards on the table the now

Anyone defending that party or defending Rangers "fans" who vote for them, especially after the events of this weekend - can fucking ram it

Why not, after all this one party wants to destroy our club and our way of life/
Correct.

It's not so much the hard core SNP voters that have always been there, they only make up about 30% of their vote, they have had their long term political opinion which is fair enough in itself.

However, its the new votes/supporters they have enticed along to help their cause.

40% Hard core republicans, who have no real love for Scotland and indeed hate 75% of the population and see independence as an ideal way of breaking up the UK which they despise. This group also contains people who hate the Orange, Masonic, Monarchy etc and think that once independence comes along they will be able to ban most of these institutions.

30% Layabouts and wasters, who have nothing to lose. Get everything for nothing and Nicola has promised them more of it, so why not?

So its not so much the traditional SNP voters (which I guess the guys above may be?) its the new bedfellows that they have cosied up to in order to achieve their aim. Make no mistake, if they ever realised their ambitions, 'useful idiots' like Rangers fans who help them do so will be top of the chopping list and will quickly find that an independent Scotland is not quite what they imagined or were promised.

In just a footballing aspect alone, has anyone ever considered what an independent Scotland might mean for Rangers?

Would a club playing in a country with massive austerity (which is guaranteed), no currency of its own and seeing capital flight to its nearest neighbour be able to function as it does now? Would we be able to afford high transfer fees for players like we have done in the past? Would TV channels run for the hills, depriving the clubs of much needed money?

Have you even thought about it?

Anyone who discriminates can ram it

Your someone who thinks they can judge even a fellow Rangers fan because of who they voted for parliament?
Why not, after all this one party wants to destroy our club and our way of life/
Where does it state I vote for them? Discrimination is a far bigger problem than a vote.
It's not discrimination to point out the absurdities of voting for anti-British national socialists while supporting a quintessentially British club. Not to mention the authoritarianism, hypocrisy, lack of coherent economic plan, corruption, support for Sinn Fein etc. etc......

The statement from the police has escalated the situation to an extent whereby the club has to respond publicly.

There was absolutely no justification for the DCC effectively to blame the club for the behaviour of some supporters and his comments represent yet another indication that we are sleep-walking into a one-party banana republic.

Most of those mouthing off are bitter Rangers-haters who tolerated BLM protests at the height of the pandemic.

Scotland is a failed state that needs saving from itself, the judiciary and police have been politicised, our health and education are badly mismanaged as for the economy, we have a history graduate I believe in charge, the vaccine roll out is at snail pace and that's all without the nursing home scandal for which people should be going to jail, they are not just incompotent they are corrupt, had they been even handed and criticised septic, St Johnstone and blm for their antics we could have at least said they were consistent, but this is an obvious diversionary tactic. I only hope the public can see thru this and get them out of office before it's too late.

The pressure needs kept up on Swinney. Rangers say they engaged nearly all at an early stage, Swinney says there was silence from Rangers. As things stand, it appears to me that Swinney has lied to the nation on national TV. If that is the case , he must resign.

Its still the main story on the bbc scotland website. This time some police chief has been wheeled out to accuse rangers of "ignoring" their pleas to tell fans to go home.

The fact he used the "sport is in a very privileged position" line leds me to believe he has had orders from nat HQ.

That’s a disgraceful comment to make in all honesty, I do not vote snp but I won’t judge a fellow Ger for having his/her own freedom to vote for whom they please.
If you understand the traditions of the club and the support then voting for secession would be impossible. The snp are Sinn Fein in kilts anyone not seeing that is not living in reality. You cannot support Rangers and vote for people who want to destroy us.

Who the fck are you to decide? Clearly a few outing their political leanings on here tonight.
Who am I to decide that no one has the right to tell someone else who they should vote for? I hate to break it to you, but that just a fact of living in a decent and reasonable society.

It doesn’t out my political leanings in any way.

Decent and reasonable societies don't react worse to football fans celebrating than a government knowingly sending covid positive pensioners back to care homes, killing hundreds/thousands and then having the audacity to have the police interview the staff at the care homes! Or overspending hundreds of millions on ferries that can't be used or building a hospital unfit for purpose or cutting affordable housing budgets by 16% but raising constitutional affairs budget by 33%.

I could go all day if that's not enough.

If Rangers have proof to back up letter to Sturgeon (email etc) they should release it to the press with a simple question for Swinney along the lines of "why did you feel the need to lie"

It’s absolutely incredible how much stuff you’ve just imagined, starting with the arbitrary percentage breakdown of the SNPs voter base.

Seriously, let’s just enjoy the title win and stop fighting with other fans.

Two things

1. The Scottish Government lied again on national TV to save their own skin. Any self respecting Rangers fan who votes for them need their head examined.

2. Trophy day is guaranteed to take place on a midweek at the back of 9. Not a chance they'll allow the club to have it at a weekend.

Why would anyone vote for the enemy
Its the equivalent of self harming
So called Rangers fans who help to vote them into office are probably the lily livered type who want to see the filth win in Europe
Keep them in office and your culture will be attacked until it is gone

You literally just said you cant support rangers and have your freedom to vote?

I’m a huge Rangers fan and I couldn’t give one flying feck who anyone votes!!

Yes, and I could do the same for just about any government ever to be in power in Scotland or Westminster, including the current shambles. So, probably best to avoid going wildly off-topic and sticking to the point.

After the scenes at the weekend, I’m afraid we can’t complain about this at all, irrespective of the party in power.
