Ah fair enough, I trust the club has plans to fix this when Ashley eventually buggers off.
wee update - Desso Hybrid machine with a couple of guys working on the pitch tonight installing fibres. Word is they are only doing the 18 yard boxes this year due to time constraints.
The blue track is gone along the front of the enclosure ready for replacement.
Copland roof panels replacement progressing well.
Fair bit of work going on in the home dressing room area. Looks like they have taken a fair bit away (wee managers office and warm up room) but from what I could see the original wood panelling remains.
Loads going on in concourse areas - looks like the food kiosks are getting a makeover.
Good to see a few quid being spent.
So has the hybrid pitch been installed?
I was on the founders trail on Saturday, and during the stadium tour, the tour guide said the hybrid pitch hadn’t been installed. He said there wasn’t enough time for the hybrid to bed in before the first game, so a “normal” pitch was laid instead?
EDIT- just read your post again, and seen they are only doing the 18 years boxes.
Coming along
I'm no expert but I am not sure why a) we have relaid the pitch when on the last day of the season it was looking immaculate and b) why bother just doing the Desso stuff in the penalty boxes. Should be all or nothing at this stage surely?
Inside of Ibrox is getting a revamp really they're putting loads of things to bring it up to the modern standardsWhat is being done to the old managers office? Anything other than just relaying carpet or replacing wallpaper is concerning to me.

Think it's just a general tidy up,unsure if it's the blue room or the trophy room but carpets have been removed and rolled up,don't know if they are being replaced/moved elsewhere/specialist cleaning or work ongoing in the two areas. What is being done to the old managers office? Copland stand roof underside cladding is proceding at a good rate and scaffolding has been moved along and nearing half of it done already, lots of new cables for replacement LED lights.
Managers new office and players lounge/kitchen ongoing, loads and loads of stuff being done in and outside the stadium, been told the new track will be laid within the next few days, weather dependant.
It's amazing how little things like the above get you excited and good to see that finally years of utter neglect by charlatans is being attended to by the good guy's.
Well done to those on the board and the groundstaff for all the hard work.
I think what is being referred to here is the Manager's office on the ground floor by the Home Dressing Room, not the iconic Manager's Office next to the Blue Room, which is really a museum piece rather than a functional office for SG. The whole of the ground floor area for the 1st team is being revamped with new gym, player's lounge etc and this includes the Manager's match day office etc. What is being done to the old managers office? Anything other than just relaying carpet or replacing wallpaper is concerning to me.
I'm away for a wank after reading that !! Excited !!Think it's just a general tidy up,unsure if it's the blue room or the trophy room but carpets have been removed and rolled up,don't know if they are being replaced/moved elsewhere/specialist cleaning or work ongoing in the two areas.

Didn’t think there was anything wrong with them. Although they could do with being bolted to the ground. I leant against one and ended up upside down between them!
Maybe they are being taken up to lay down the new track?
Ha HaAre they not called duck outs?

We would put the away team in front of their supporters in the corner. Would create a 100 or so extra home fan seatsDidn’t think there was anything wrong with them. Although they could do with being bolted to the ground. I leant against one and ended up upside down between them!

Sounds like a good idea.We would put the away team in front of their supporters in the corner. Would create a 100 or so extra home fan seats
And they could have the useless 4th official albeit would be funny watching him run back and forth to 'manage' the subs.Sounds like a good idea.
Just a few portaloo's with the doors ripped off.We would put the away team in front of their supporters in the corner. Would create a 100 or so extra home fan seats
What are we going to do when Close Brothers need paid back though

Go to ticketus, steal leccy fae the school, siphon water from the church. What are we going to do when Close Brothers need paid back though
Go to ticketus
This is great, another reason to be excited for the first home game of the season. Even just reading about all this work is tiring. I can't be bothered changing the bulb in my bathroom. Pooing in the dark.
Great to here. Board outdoing themselves by following Gerrard’s advice. If you want to be an elite club you’re going to have to have elite facilities. Yes tradition is nice but we have to move on, everything can’t remain the same as it has been for years.wee update - Desso Hybrid machine with a couple of guys working on the pitch tonight installing fibres. Some more from today
It’s a minor point but I’d like to see that worn out Astro next to the pitch replaced. It’s a bit of an eyesore and is where the players usually warm up
Are you suggesting that even in its current condition that hampden or paedopit is better than Ibrox?Once complete, coupled with programmed works for next year, likely works to Edmiston House and then Project 2022, I am now fairly confident by 2023 we will be the leading light again North of the Border.
