It definitely would be more preferable than having to go to Hampden.
At least it’s far more accessible.

we were fortunate that night.97 or 98 I believe? Took my mum and dad to that one as a present.
Yeah the train station there isn’t able to handle the before and after games/gigsIt definitely would be more preferable than having to go to Hampden.

Summer of 85, Jim Kerr stayed in same block of flats as us. I know they support the enemy but poor guys come good kind a stuff. Were my boyhood band.Simple Minds played Ibrox years ago. Also didn't we host a Jim Watt world boxing title?
Modern tech would solve those issue imoAs long as it doesn’t harm the pitch but it always seems to
He played at Ibrox in the nineties as well. Hate to say I was there.Rod Stewart performed at Ibrox in 1983
Fair point although it’s probably cause national stadiums are normally the biggestMakes sense to have concerts for the revenue but not many clubs in the UK do this. National stadiums mostly.
If their rangers fans I’m all for itGet Biffy Clyro
Didn’t know that tbh
I think the reason is low is cause it echos too muchThe general consensus among proper music fans is that the sound at Hampden is shit! I tend to agree with this view having attended about half a dozen shows over the years and can testify to the poor sound quality AND I may add the decibels are set way too low due to the close proximity of the residents living in the nearby properties which is ridiculous when you have paid good money to see a band like Ac/Dc and the rules dictate basically that the sound be turned down. It’s been a while since Ibrox hosted a concert but any time it was used I never heard any complaints about the sound quality and if the club wants to host future events I would be happy if they think it’s worth doing and we make some money out of it.
Went to Bon Jovi back in the day - must've been about 7 or 8, was in the Club Deck IIRC - the stage running along the Govan.
That configuration would be far superior to Hampden for a gig.
Doing the boxer beat, boxer beat, the boxer beat. The support was Joe Boxer and Gary Glitter...
I was at the gig, stage was at the main stand with an aisle running outt to the centre circle, Gary Glitter and Joboxer were the support.WRod Stewart performed at Ibrox in 1983
Jim Kerr allegedly buried a crucifix under the turf What a wolloper!Simple Minds played Ibrox years ago. Also didn't we host a Jim Watt world boxing title?
This, was looking quite bear on Wednesday and constantly tearing up.Actually feel this season is worst pitch has looked in a good few seasons, for that reason alone, I wouldn't.
Bryan Adams played at the piggery along with Extreme and Squeeze for the waking up the neighbours tour and . Bon Jovi played around Ibrox.
Was at both concerts .
Think they're playing out with Glasgow due to the Euros.I don’t get why The Killers play Falkirk stadium and not a venue like Ibrox. Could sell it out easily no doubt.
Usually in August which rules us out. Think it's a good idea but with European qualifiers June is pretty much the only month availableShould’ve hosted the Glasgow summer session at Ibrox since a wee bit of rain turns bellahouston park into a mud bath

Agree with this. Plus you risk having the groin brigade attending with their paedo stickersWe invest a lot of money on the pitch so I'd be reluctant if it means we bork it all up.

I was working the turnstiles that night ,good old days before Rock Steady came in,all Rangers supporters.I thought @cadge_1959 was joking, hence my "Jimmy Saville was the MC" comment
I was at the simple minds one. The waterboys also played and their set was fantasticSimple Minds played Ibrox years ago. Also didn't we host a Jim Watt world boxing title?
