Copa Libertadores 2021

The crowd reminds me of the 1984 Scottish league cup final. The Flamengo (Rangers) end is rammed whilst there’s massive gaps in the Palmeiras (Celtic) end

I was peering at the tv trying to work out what you were on about, then I realised I had Villarreal v Barcelona on the tv.
That will be enough beer for tonight

Wasn’t there one between the big two argies that got played in Madrid a few years ago ?

I’m a massive Hispanophile. I’m interested in colonial Spanish history and the Spanish speaking countries of Latin America. It’s always irritated me that there’s just one Portuguese country there, sticking out like a sore thumb
River v Boca

There's no real urgency to the game, very one paced and none of the extravagance you expect from two Brazilian teams.

Good atmosphere though.

If you're on this thread then the latest edition of These Football Times about Flamengo might be of interest:

Zico was one of the greats. He holds the record for the most goals scored at the Maracana.

This is “top story” on the bbc sport app and easy to find on there.

Trying to put it on the tv though ? It’s not on the red button. It’s not on the iPlayer app
