COVID breaches

It's a good question.

Whatever whitewash has been applied to the club (CFC), the actions of the actual players themselves must be addressed.

As said before on here, the players are personally responsible for what they're doing, when they are breaching the Elite Protocols.

We've already seen players being fined for socialising without social distancing (the Aberdeen players, and indeed our own 2).

Why are Celtc players lounging by the pool and having a fine time in the bar -- why are THEY getting away with it ??
Indeed, why has Duffy been allowed to play in certain games recently when he had broken the protective bubble (as acknowledged by CFC's assistant manager) ?

The thing is if done properly and dealt with when pictures came out any bans would have run at the same time as most of the team were isolating. Now we are in a position where either nothing will happen which isn’t acceptable to all the other clubs or bans will kick in once the players have stopped isolating which I’m sure Celtic will give something to moan about.

It is another sign of incompetence from the football authorities in Scotland.

After Jones and Edmundson 7 game bans it’s a joke they are not being cited by SFA

The “investigation” is more BS

I expect this breach to be ignored
 
I’ve no doubt the rules will be manipulated to state that breaches which happened outside Scotland are not within the scope of the compliant officer or disciplinary panel.

If the SPFL don't act quickly then it will all be swept under the carpet.
If the SPFL act later this week and dish out the same 7 match bans our players got it takes them very close to still being banned when we next play them on the 20th of March.
 
She will be scrutinising TV highlights of weekend games to see if celebrations were within new guidelines and say that she saw nothing ti incriminate Sceptic :cool: :cool:
 
Surely Aberdeen and Rangers should be asking Clerrr for clarity over the same breaches of the three clubs. no doubt we will sit in silence again and take it on the chin.

It can and will be because there is not a chance the SPFL and SFA will to take Celtic to task on this.

They will be hoping that people will see them having to have 13 players and staff self-isolate will be deemed punishment enough.
 
I still can't fathom out how Duffy was deemed eligible to play the last two games.

I know he is rank rotten - but, surely a breach of rules?
 
They acted quickly against the Aberdeen 8 so why the delay in this?
I fear the worse and they have already swept this under the carpet.

The silence should tell you all you need to know,mate. I'll tell you if it was us they'd have thrown everything at us by now. All hiding in their bunkers, shameless.
 
How long did it take between the photographs of the Aberdeen players becoming public and their punishments being issued?
 
The bans were increasing with each offence in order to dissuade anyone from breaching the rules again, Aberdeen players - suspended 3 game ban, Bolingoli - 5 game ban with 2 suspended, Rangers players 7 game ban, therefore the Celtic players should be on a 9/10 game ban.

7 game bans, as per precedent set, would most certainly outlast any isolation period.
 
I don't think they'll get around to addressing this matter until they track down the cnut that threw a lighter at Fernando.

IF they punish them, they will backdate the bans to start (and end) during their isolation period, nothing surer.

They will be able to do this without anyone mentioning the 7 game ban used by the SPFL against Rangers players in the name of escalating punishments after every significant breach.
 
If we and the rest of Scottish Football let them off the hook with this one then shame on us. I will be spewing if we do. We have photographic evidence in the public domain and an admission of guilt. Even for them and the authorities this would be blow torch levels of brass neck
 
It shows what a farce the compliance officer role is. Implemented to assist one team only. There should be no more using Nolan Partners for recruitment in the SFA or SFPL.
 
Maybe the possibility of being punished for breaches is one of the reasons for Lennon’s rant. He could be trying to remind the SFA of what will come their way if they dare to punish any of his players.

one things for sure, if they do give any bans to the Tim’s they won’t accept them, they will challenge them as they always do.
 
I don't believe any players will be suspended as a result of events in Dubai (club sanctioned trip so any punishment likely to be club as opposed to players) and any club punishment is likely to be little more than a slap on the wrist (fine).

It would, however, be funny if they did suspend the celtic players for lack of social distancing in Dubai and then came out in agreement with TLB about the National team and also punished/suspended all players who participated in the conga he referred to.
 
Duffy has “ played “ in 2 matches that need looking at.

Their manager is casting aspersions left, right & centre, somebody should return the serve with their interest..
