Sadly true and until the inadequacy of our physio /medical staff is addressed it won't change any time soon.Players at other clubs seem to come back quicker from amputations than we do when pulling a hamstring.
How is that even possible?!!
I keep telling the wife this, she never listens though. It's amazing how quick muscle can atrophy. Even 2 or 3 weeks of minimum use and the muscle shrinks.
Perhaps it's who / where we send our injured players to that needs addressed. It's not like we have a team of surgeons and specialists on the staff. Anything remotely serious will be outsourced. In-house will only be dealing with relatively minor knocks and ensuring players are following the recovery plan set by our external 'experts'. We're either very unlucky, or we perhaps need to look at alternatives - though I'm sure plenty clubs will use the same people / facilities we do.We should put an offer in for the Hearts medical team before the window 'slams' shut
He was out of football for nearly 3 years with an injury,Players at other clubs seem to come back quicker from amputations than we do when pulling a hamstring.
Was it not 6 days mate ?How long did McCoist take to come back from a bad injury? I seem to remember 2 weeks or so, it wasn't his leg break but everyone thought he'd be out for months. Came back V Steau Bucharest IIRC.

Those leg press machines give me the fear after all the shock videos I've seen of people turning their knees inside out with them.
Our injuries have been horrendous since the the doctor Gerrard brought with him left the club.
The difference in recovery of Henrik Larsson and Michael Mols is evidence of this.A clean break is a better injury to get than ligament damage.
My brother broke a bone in his back, he's recovered now but his legs turned to sticks after only a few weeks in a hospital bed.I had a family member in a coma for two weeks after suffering pneumonia. The muscle atrophy in his legs after it was unbelievable. He nearly died. Took him a long time to get back up on his feet again.
Fair play to Gordon. I’m not a fan, but I understand the difficulty in getting to where he is now.
He's 40 not 80 ffs.Wee junkie legs
In all seriousness, Fair play to him especially at his age to be recovering so quickly.
Was he offered a deal by us?Same Craig Gordon that trained with us then signed with the manks.will pass on the get well soon pish .
Pretty impressive to be fair. Nice to see.
Don't care if he was or not but I will pass on wishing him a speedy recovery etc due to the club he played for.A club that despises us and covers up child sex abuse.i thought this was a Rangers forum sorry if I've offended the new age Rangers fan .Was he offered a deal by us
He was renowned for quick recoveries from what I remember. How long did McCoist take to come back from a bad injury? I seem to remember 2 weeks or so, it wasn't his leg break but everyone thought he'd be out for months. Came back V Steau Bucharest IIRC.
Who’s offended? Reel yer neck in.Don't care if he was or not but I will pass on wishing him a speedy recovery etc due to the club he played for.A club that despises us and covers up child sex abuse.i thought this was a Rangers forum sorry if I've offended the new age Rangers fan .
Always feels odd when a doctor expresses relief that it's "just a break". But it's true, breaks are sorted in weeks now. Soft tissue is a nightmare.Tbf, a break is alot easier to heal and come back from than a muscle tear or rupture
On the plus side, I hear Daniel Prodan is only a couple of weeks away.
The late Daniel Prodan? On the plus side, I hear Daniel Prodan is only a couple of weeks away.

Larsson had just as bad of a leg break as Craig Gordon but came back and played as if it never happened. Michael Mols was one of the best forwards I'd ever seen but came back a shell of that player and never really recovered.
Oh sh1t. Not what I meant at all. Hopefully it's obvious I'm talking about his knee. Surprised I haven't been banned! The late Daniel Prodan?
That honestly reminded me i have some cool mint matchmakers left from christmas, i am eating them nowNo wonder he broke it in the first place, there’s f*** all to both of his legs!
I broke my leg once, when it comes out the cast there is huge amount of muscle wasteHow skinny are his legs
No . He used our training facilities during the 2013-14 season after a lengthy lay off. At no point was he ever offered a deal. Was he offered a deal by us?
No end to the boy’s talents.Always wondered what happened when a sparrow broke its leg.
Here is my answer.
Looks like Lowry painted the fcuking things!
