Cristiano Ronaldo Jr and Thiago Messi

Few not mentioned so far:

Chiesa has been a decent player, although would say neither him or his dad were world class.

Jordi Cruyff certainly didn't get to the heights of his dad, but still had a decent career.

Diego Simeone's son is an interesting one. He looks a good player and has had a good start to his career.

The Maldinis and the Mazzolas are probably the two that stand out.

Maybe not world class but Jean Djorkaeff was meant to be a very good player.

Mazinho won a World Cup and Thiago Alcantara was pretty good.
Some good knowledge here.

Two of Simeone's 3 sons have been capped by Argentina

Have we had any world class footballers produce world class offspring yet?

How about the best father and son combos in Scotland?

We've got Derek and Lewis Ferguson, with Uncle Barry .....

I remember thinking we had a Scottish midfield to conquer Europe with Derek + Ian Ferguson, and Durrant.

Durrant got crocked and Derek opted for the kebabs and pints instead of a glittering football career.
What could have been!

Archie & Scot Gemmil and Eddie & Archie Gray. Trying to think of a few more. Edit Archie is son of Andy Gray not Eddie and is English not Scottish!

Tony and Mark Hateley
I was wondering if there were any Rangers fans on this thread. I didn’t see Tony play, but he couldn’t be better than peak Mark for us, the big man was a force to be reckoned with. There wasn’t a defender in Scotland that didn’t shêite it when Hateley was playing.

He was a great player in his day from what I've read. The first £100k player as well.

Hate to mention it but the Schmiecals - dad was world class, and the son has been danish number 1 for years and premier league winner. Now a fat mess mind.

Not sure where Cesare Maldini sits in terms of his playing career, but over 300 games for Milan and 14 caps for Italy in the days before they played loads of internationals, and then producing Paolo Maldini who was undoubtedly world class, isn’t a bad effort.

Edit; should really have read the thread first to see this has already been mentioned! If someone else did that I’d be calling them a fanny under my breath.
