They all have agents, maybe managers think he's worth having. He gets some cracking moves, must have a good agent.
he is getting good experience in interesting leagues. Never know how he might turn out by the time he is 30.
I'm always amazed by people who form an opinion on a player at 19 or 20 and that's it, they never look at the potential, to them, at 20 the player is the finished article.
How many people wrote off the young Gattuso as just a tackler? Who believed he'd one day win a World Cup ?
Bates was a good player at 20, his physical & defensive attributes were there for all to see. Height, ability in the air, a bit of pace, brave & put his body on the line. He had a real desire to improve and be the best possible player. Bates also read the game fairly well too given his age.
His passing was the big problem for some, but with a static midfield in front of you passes will get intercepted.
I wish him well, he'll only really be at his peak when he gets to 28, the experience of Scottish, German, English & Belgian football will, I believe, make him a very good Centre Back.
Just not in the UK?He's fast and a solid defender no reason why clubs would t take a chance him
Okay, but only at a certain level.Doubt that.
He'll be aware he's doing very well.
Maybe he has rejected offers to continue his European adventuresJust not in the UK?
It's pathetic mate, but unfortunately not surprisingThe guy is a Rangers man and his old man is as staunch as they come.
Some of the abuse he gets on here is pathetic.
I think he was made to look better by the various shitshows playing around him but I wish him well.
Instead he appears to be dropping down a variety of European leagues.Ah is it. Still, good that he didn’t just come back and drop down the Scottish leagues like lots of others would have done.
His old man sorted me tickets a few times when I was struggling, top guy. Don't understand the negative comments towards Bates on here, good luck to him.The guy is a Rangers man and his old man is as staunch as they come.

From 2nd division Germany to top league in Belgium. Drop must mean something different now.Instead he appears to be dropping down a variety of European leagues.
