Ian Gillan couldn't sing soldier of fortuneIan Gillan all day long.
His old man was a staunch Gers man from KP too.
Coverdale every time. Lead vocalist with Deep Purple Mk3, singing on 3 classic albums.
"Rangers country"He may have but he defo said Rangers county / land
Gillan was the man.Loved Gillan with Deep Purple - but Dio was excellent (with Rainbow in particular) as well.
Was thinking exactly the same! The only gig Ive been to at Ibrox was Bon Jovi in, ....let me check my ticket stub collage ...Sunday 22nd June 2003, The Bounce Tour, cost £30.75 ..., fck was charged about £130 to see Roger's Waters at the Hydro a couple of years ago.
Is that Neil Cooper or David Bryan the keyboard player that's also in the pic !
Morphing into a terrahawk maybeCoverdale is morphing into Felicity Kendal these days!

Down in a blaze of glory!Hate Bon Jovi.
Everytime I put the first inch in, she sings "we're halfway there".
HahahaCoverdale couldn't sing Child in Time or When a Blind Man Cries.
Had a stronger voice. When I last saw them Coverdale was struggling.Bon jovi is great but Coverdale has a stronger voice and sang more difficult songs.
However Ronnie James Dio is no.1.
Walter was in the main stand that night.Bon Jovi because they played a great gig at Ibrox. Walter Smith is a big fan of them.
Yes he wasn't to good when i saw him.Had a stronger voice. When I last saw them Coverdale was struggling.
Anyway, derailing the comedy element of this thread, sorry.

Once stood behind that lot at a Springsteen concert, Walter loves his music.Bon Jovi are staunch.
Only Freddie was better than Paul RodgersCome on guys, these were pale imitations of Paul Rodgers when in his Free and Bad Company days.
Dave Lee Roth one time Van Halen frontman for the youngsters....
Ooh yea, ooooh yea, Ooh yea, oooh yeaRobert Plant could knock spots off the two of them!
All right nowOnly Freddie was better than Paul Rodgers
Bon Jovi for me, as Ian Gillan has to be the best & original in Deep Purple. Saw their 2nd ever gig in a small, packed room at UCL. Blew the audience away. Jon Lord & Ritchie Blackmore were outstanding. I saw all the bands back then, which is why nowadays I am reluctant to see one-fifth of an original band touring under the same name. Inevitably one ends up being totally disappointed. Only the Stones are capable because of Jagger, though mind you, Keef was a walking zombie the last time in Hyde Park.
