I don't know a single one of them these days

In my late teens early 20's I knew quite a few - mostly from work & 1 or 2 friends of neighbours etc. This was at the tail end of their 9 iar - so with hindsight they probably didn't like mixing once they had no bragging rights

They were a bit of a mixed bunch - but if I'm honest I miss that contact - not because their friendship was all that valuable but because I enjoyed the alternative viewpoints even if they were weird most of the time

I'd never consider going on their forums out of principle - but I would like to have some (limited) interaction with sensible exchanges - but that's a bit ambitious of course

There's at least 3 cousins in my family who married into them. Thankfully it's been 15 years since I spoke to any of them. They turned out to be complete bitter rat bastards and that's no bullshit.
All from my mother's side and she refuses to have anything to do with them also.
Most of my friends and acquantencies are blue noses.

I don’t have any Tim mates at all, the only time I’m in contact with any is in my bowling club and they don’t come near our group or socialise with us.

They are more visible as fans than we are, I know when I'm working in someone's house if they are a Tim, because of all the tat on display and most likely wearing the green and grey. I only found out that my neighbour was one of us last Saturday when I heard him cheering when we scored.

I'm not friendly or even know any scum.Only ones i see around our town are the workshy pricks carrying their blue bags of cans back home from ten in the morning , green and grey taps on and flies buzzing round them.
Most in our town are in below 30 s age group and into drinking ,drugs and crime and needless to say don't work .Scum by name scum by nature

Dont know any of either at the moment. My best mate, best man at my wedding, was a Celtic fan but he unfortunately passed away a couple of months ago so I'm down to a 0-0 draw.

Of the people I have or spoken to regularly in the last year, three are scum fans.

one is a new guy in my company but he lives 400 miles away.

one is a guy I used to work with. Probably the most sound scum fan I’ve met.

the other was an electrician I used for a bit. Money is now going the right way.

the weird thing is, it’s not a conscious choice. It’s just the way my life has planned out. And I can’t say I am unhappy at it.

I know a load more sheep fans through work. They are as bad if not worse. They don’t cover up paedos though.

I definitely know and mix with mostly Rangers fans and that’s not including my wider family who are bears.

I’ve always believed that Rangers and Celtic have more genuine fans worldwide than any other club you can name.

Im talking about fans who travel from all over to see us and them.

Lived in the calton, growing up,so knew a few,but that's all knew.all mates growing up went to the non sectarian school, non denomination, supported the rangers, went to the games and still do.don't mix with scum your life will be better .no surrender w.a.t.p

Only met a few of them through Uni, college and work, so I definitely know more of us than them and I’m happy to keep it that way.

The thing with that lot is that you might meet one and think “He’s actually alright for one of them” but sooner rather than later they will remind you of why you don’t associate with them.

Know quite a lot, my town (and surrounding) seems to be very split amongst my generation with us, them & St Mirren fans.

It’s probably even between us & them, with St Mirren fans making up about 25% of people I know with a few Aberdeen, Motherwell & Hearts fans (bizarre I know).

Over the course of it I obviously know more bears through Rangers games or such, speaking geographically though I would say it’s even. Met a bitter one last night, got all excited when I could give her some stick.

See quite a few at houses or football due to friend groups but will only go out my way to speak to the decent ones.
I'm in your neck of the woods, agree on St Mirren numbers but I'm saying a bit more of us than them in and around EBI. I know many of them in my age group through school (PMHS) and living here for 45+ years. In general though I know way more of us than them, probably around 80:20.

Which is nice.

Only one of my close friends are Tims. Ironically hes a huge unionist and was in the Navy. Hes a total steroetype of a Rangers fan, but somehow a mhank.

No complications through marriage, raised in Larkhall, work there and was Rangers daft . Moved down South late 30’s don’t know any down here so my opportunities to be friends with Celtic supporters have always been extremely limited.

My circle of friends are either Rangers fans, or a couple who have zero interest in football. Not always been that way, over the years had a few what I thought were friends who followed Septic- time and again when the chips were down, they showed their true colours. Rather have friends I can trust and rely on, so give them a wide berth these days.
Work probably split 50/50, us and them. Keep them at arms length at work, even work's nights out tend to split into 2 groups.
Don't see any sign of us losing a generation of fans in my family. The younger ones - my daughter, nieces and nephews all support Rangers and go to matches when they get the chance.

I work for North Lanarkshire Cooncil and believe it or not the majority of the 8 in our shift are Bears and no Scum

After 2012 I severed all connections with my Celtic supporting acquaintances due to their gloating and the hatred of the Rangers that they displayed and I haven’t spoken to many (if any) of them since then.
One of the big advantages to being retired is that I no longer have to mix with them at work. On the down side though, is that I don’t get to enjoy lording over them after results like the last game at Parkhead.
Don't you mean Porkhead? Ah, the piggery!

My own family and extended family all blue. Brothers, brother in laws, cousins, daughters, nephews nieces and the next generation so my answer is easy

All the scum fans I know down here in the Midlands are plastic paddies, born in England, think they're Irish so support a Scottish team!
Almost every Gers fan though was born in Scotland
Mate I live in Peterborough and there’s a loads of Bears born in England. Some bears took two English guys to Ibrox a few years ago , they are now season ticket holders. Best mates grandad was Scottish him and his two brothers are Rangers mad.

Rangers fans by a huge difference.

Now that I've thought about it though am pals with/and play football with a few fans of:

Hearts
Clyde
East Fife
Celtic
Partick Thistle
Aberdeen

I'm from Cumbernauld this town feels like it's full of them tho someone told me this isn't the case,I've lived in Carbrain and Greenfaulds all my life so maybe I've just been unlucky !
We are easily in the majority mate,it just feels like it because they wear their green n grey rhags to everything

In my youth it was probably 50-50 but now as soon as they mention sultic they are avoided like the cancerous scum they are.

Until I left school and started work aged 17, the only Celtic fans I knew were the catholic’s in the street who we would fight with.

Worked with a few over the years since though and most have been fine.

Definitely know more bluenoses though.

I have nothing to do with them if at all possible, I have absolutely nothing in common with them, my 60 years have taught me to keep them at arms length

Only Tims I know are through work and they are in the minority. Unintentionally staunch! :))

I’m south Ayrshire,I would say we are in the majority but they have a more visual impact,They are never without their rags on where Bears tend not to wear their colours as everyday clothing,
I know a few but keep them at bargepole length.

Think I know 2 and I would say that stretching capacity one of which I would call a diet tim as he's primarily a rugby man. Back when I would organised my 5 a side i made sure no poets were involved, even if struggling for players.

A bit of a debate, always remember King saying that " we could miss a generation of fans"
theirs no way of seeing who has the larger fan base, we can argue all day with them but i'd like to know if you know more Rangers fans or them?

Unfortunately adding family and friends up its more them than us in my circle, was wondering what yours is?

You need to shake up your life.
Seriously, you do.

Bucking the staunch trend here but I've got some really good pals who support them. Makes it all the sweeter when we beat the bastards.

Mostly Rangers fans for me.

I know quite a few poets at work and neighbours and I have a couple of poet mates be nowhere close to the number of Rangers fans I know.
