I wouldnt play Dowell against Annan never mind in Europe. Lawrence maybe I can see why although I would rather have Matondo for his pace coming on as a sub.
Anyway looking at the group do we really think we can beat most of them and to be fair neither would the scum.
Scottish football is out of its depth in Europe as we dont have the cash to compete.
What we do have is a great support and I was sorry to see on here that that is not the case for some.

I think it's this tbh. He's getting brought back in gradually and the minutes he gets to build back up will be in the league rather than Europe, likely starting one week and getting subbed then benched and coming on sh. Don't think there is anymore in it than that.

Do you not sit and think for one second that this might just be a recommendation from the medical team? Its not beyond the realms of possibility that he's been informed that the intensity of European games is too much of a risk for Danilo's recovery?

Dowell is a highly inconsequential player - offers very little. And there are other options within the squad to move into midfield, if necessary, such as Sterling.

Danilo doesn't have to play twice a week to be included. It's a squad that covers 5 months - are we really saying his fitness is that suspect, he won't be contributing in that time?
