How do i turn these off?

I've updated and saved my preferences but still getting them

Username in top right hand corner then go into both preferences and alert preferences. Remember and save any changes you make.

still getting emails on a watched thread apparently!

Go to the thread it says you are watching and at the top right it says "unwatch thread". Hit that and you should be good.
