England v Slovakia Thread

Slovakia look very composed on the ball, England should really have enough to get back in the game but they are going to have to play a lot better to do so.
 
Surely a foul by Walker there? Hoddle conveniently minimising it, as if bringing down the man didn't matter as he did well to get back?!
 
For the talented players they have at their disposal,, England are just a shite shite football team to watch.
 
England are so dull and one dimensional. Inflated sense of their own ability and entitlement due to having the EPL ... but how many of the truly exciting craftsmen and entertainers in the league are actually English?

As someone said earlier Ali looks mince when playing for england. Ditto Kane and the aptly named Dier. Let's see how Spurs cope in Europe this season before we laud that lot as superstars again

There's not actually that many talented players tho when held up in a European context. Sure, compared to their British isles rivals they have more talent - but they don't stand up well to even above-average continental teams. And when they face teams who have a well defined and managed gameplan - Iceland says it all

It's hard to disagree with much of that. Even most of the foreigners who come to England are workmanlike athletes, rather than elite players.

For every Hazard, Coutinho or Sanchez, there is an Ivanovich, Moreno or Gabriel.
 
Also who said Weiss was done? He's not the quickest so he's done?

Some folk should really consider another sport ffs
 
Rashford is some talent, just really hope Mourinho doesn't waste him by limiting his game time and playing him out of position.

Great player and I'd pick him before Mbappe (seen more of Rashford tbf).

Mbappe is on a different planet than Rashford when it comes to football ability.

Rashford is going to take time to get a run in Man-ure starting 11, he's a quality impact player from the bench just now.

Couple of years IMO could become England's next superstar
