5 minute test kit being rolled out today. As shite as it all is, there are some fucking awesome people doing some fucking awesome things to bring this to a manageable situation
 
Ambitious and not at all wise in my opinion. No chance the SPFL would try and replicate it up here so no worries about that.
 
I Actually think this is a good idea get the season over and done

I appreciate that other things are more important at the moment but our way of life might need to change for a few years and this makes sense for just now

They are kidding themselves on that they are relevant just now. Nobody gives a fvck what they think or are planning just now whilst the country is at war with an unseen enemy.
 
Playing football in hermetically sealed hubs that are 100 % sterile and guaranteed free from Covid 19 ? A vivid imagination. :D
 
I suspect the reason this is on the agenda at all is due to the club who are actually champions in waiting. Though that particular club itself is not actually instigating any of this.

Liverpool would just be one small part of a fuckload of legal challenges and minefields that would emerge from a null and void season.
 
In all the goings on since all this began, this idea is the most ridiculous and insensitive of the lot.

All efforts must go into the well being of the people. Football means absolutely nothing and whoever took the time to think up this garbage needs to have a good look at themselves.
 
So everyone - players, coaches, managers, match officials, TV Crews and all staff required at the games and hotels in isolation away from there families for 6 - 8 weeks.
If achievable it would allow Liverpool to win the title on the pitch and allow the relegation issue to be likewise decided. It doesn't help with who gets promoted and relegated from the leagues below.
Also a logistical nightmare and the costs, and risks involved may mean that this is little more than an idea that gets kicked around before being discarded - gives the impression that they are trying.
The one thing that is certain is that if they do achieve it Scotland will not be doing likewise. Could not afford it.
 
I cant see players agreeing to this.
What about traveling to the stadium? Getting on the bus? TV crews?

Do they think fans will stay away?
 
I know the EPL don't like to hear this, but it's not all about them... Every country and level needs to complete to give the season any credence... And right now football is the last thing we should be thinking about!
 
Just watching the American press conference and they are expecting between 100k and 200k deaths. If not for the mitigation, and they just let it rip it would be 2.2million deaths - maybe more.

Football should be ashamed even discussing and theorizing a timeline. The virus will make the timeline. If this thing adapts and becomes more deadly, as it is now killing more kids that is being widely reported now that was not being reported before we are fucked.
Just to throw in a conspiracy because it statistically appears to be more deadly outwith China - if it turns out this came out a test tube the world will burn - but still the season will kick off in August
 
What an utterly preposterous concept.
Are the EPL so completely in a bubble of denial that they think football is the major consideration of the nation's worries.
20,000 people are going to die. Perhaps thousands more. These people seem more detached from the actual problem than the fuclwits coughing at police officers.
There is no chance of any football being played, let alone competitive professional football till August. More likely October.
We've been told today that six months is a realistic target for normality. Football will need to fall into line somewhere behind that.

Correct on both points you make. We are in the process of setting up field hospitals around the country and waiting for the worst of this virus to hit, football isnt a priority. And when the time is right any solution to how the leagues finish need to apply to all 4 tiers of the league, both sides of the border.
 
Nobody knows jack in public yet. The rags are desperate. Behind the scenes there's a lot we're not been told imo.

So these hotels the players will camp at, they are staffed with confined workers who are also tested....FFS what utter bollocks......tens of thousands dying and these bampots are trying to get football played!!!!! Scrap the leagues and give the prize money to the NHS....reduce player salaries on any player on over 100k per year to aide the loss on the clubs that can’t afford the loss.

Players and their wives are going to accept being away from each other for 2 months during a pandemic....this is fantasy stuff

That is a very big jump in theory but actually one that is growing.....if that does transpire then it is indeed the beginning of the end!
