Never too early to start thinking about European qualifiers.

Anyone have the permutations for our likely European campaign?

It’s because of the co-efficient
How many on earth can the coefficient have dropped given ours and the mhanks’ progress? Especially given that five years ago, we were not in Europe. It’s astonishing to think that, at the level we currently are at, other countries could have leapfrogged us?

This season doesn’t get taken into account until 2020-21

Because it is based on the results of 2017-18 season and therefore Scotland sit 26th in the coefficient for 2019-20

Means all 4 sides start in QR1 in both competitions

For 2020-21 it is back to what it was this season as Scotland move up 20th in the coefficient table

Thanks. Could they make it any more complicated if they tried?

Do you mean the entry points. if so just be thankful that while the Scottish European record isn't the greatest it holds it own as there is a Preliminary round as well but that is for nations 51st and below a long while before that would happen to Scotland

This season has improved it and had we got in to the knockout stages and beyond it would have taken the country coefficient further up the table likewise with them whether it right or not that they should be getting that far from a Rangers fan point of view is a different matter ;)

Need to get to 15th to regain 2 CL places

Hope but dont fully expect (some of the teams in the qualifiers this year were really good, Sevilla, Zenit etc) to get to the groups again. And if we do i hope we get an away day down south or Germany. Would be class.

Getting to the group stage next season will be a cracking achievement if we can do it again. We got a fairly lucky draw this season.

Worth recalling that Villareal have an outside chance of getting into the last 4 this season and we held them on both occasions in the group stages. Our EL campaign was way above expectations. Repeat it and we are certainly back on the Euro stage.

15th isn't that far off either. If both old firm teams make it to the groups again next year we'd be there and there abouts. We're 2 good seasons away from the 2nd CL space.
