European football trips (Not Rangers)

Had been trying to get tickets for this but just could not figure out the Real website. Can I ask advice on how you managed to obtain tickets? Thanks!
I joined Madrista premium, gives you presale 1 day before general public on the official site and also entradas.com.

Was in the queue for over an hour but eventually picked up 3 single tickets.

I’m sure I got asked for passport details when I bought in autumn 23 for 5 different Clubs( all online) but I’m certain I did get checked against my passport at all matches. Have looked back at the tickets but only Napoli had the passport number on, others all have my name and date of birth on. Bought on the day at Virtus Entella in 2019 and wouldn’t sell me one without my passport. I’ve found them very stringent personally regarding checking when you enter but it’s 16 months since I last went so they maybe have relaxed it. I’d always take my passport though in Italy to the ground.

Went to see them vs. Torino last year and got a mobile ticket through Ticketone. Definitely had to fill in passport details but they didn't check.

Got hospitality tickets for their game against Juventus the week before and it was a nightmare getting through checkpoints for the correct section. Pretty sure there weren't even any Juve fans there, so no idea what that was about.

This guy is brilliant to follow on Twitter everyone, loads of ticket info and puts info up regarding fixtures releases.

Just seen him putting this on regarding Dortmund tickets:

He’s saying it is 62 euros a season and it gives you the chance to buy 2 tickets. Think he is saying only 2 matches made general sale - none in the Bundesliga. Hardest Club in Germany to get a ticket for through official channels.

Madrid derby confirmed for the 8th February at 9pm local time, would be tempted by this but reckon tickets will be hard to come by unless paying silly money?

This has caught my attention and currently debating it. Would be a cracking experience. Been looking online and seen you need something called a passolig card (all done online and via an app so easier these days). Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this system?

What I can't figure out is, does one card allow you to buy for all 3 matches? Or would I need 3 separate card applications (I.e. 1 for each club... is this even possible)?

Any help much appreciated.

Would have been a good one this, 3-3 yesterday and Besiktas match is lively now.

The face value prices are wild, let alone the touted ones! Never seen a league match with higher face value prices anywhere in the world.

Yeah, I was worried about not being able to get tickets for all 3 games so talked myself out of it. Follow a few people on twitter that are doing it. Talk of only getting tickets 24hrs before ko etc so defo not been the easiest.

Opted for AC v Inter instead so buzzing about that one.

Crazy mate, seen a few on viagogo for £187, plus fees or whatever they add on.

Not sure what the chances of grabbing one directly from the club would be.

That sounds cheap to be honest! Cheapest I saw with fees was £400 on Ticombo. Interesting see if they reach general sale.

Anyone know when Schalke tickets go on general sale? Or how readily available they tend to be? Eyeing up the game against Hertha on the 16th Feb, I’ve already got a log in but it just says not on sale yet and no mention of dates when they might.

Do you mean against Karlsruhe?

They go very close to selling out every match, this weekends match is still members only for example. Not certain but they may not even reach a general sale there.

Think you’ve confused Fortuna on the Saturday against Hertha with this. They went on general sale today, this is the ticketing page:

Sorry yes you’re right, I’ve already eyed up the Düsseldorf game for the same weekend and as you say they went on general sale today.

That’s a bit disappointing about Schalke tickets, I’d wait to nearer the time but it’d be the difference between flying back the Sunday or the Monday and I’d rather not hold out on booking my flight and hotel.

Cheers again for the info mate, much appreciated.

You might get one on here mate, one being offered the other day.

Making the most of some really cheap Ryanair flights at this time of year.

Had already sorted £60 return edin-milan for Milan derby next weekend.

Now heading to Dublin, for long weekend mid feb with wife and wee guy Dublin (£100 return in total for all 3 of us). Gonna drag him to Dublin Derby at Aviva Stadium (Bohemian v Shamrock Rovers). Wife is going shopping instead

And yesterday sorted another trip in early March (return to eindhoven for £50).

Sorted tickets for two matches, Feyenoord and Sparta Rotterdam

Had debated trying to do Utrecht prior to Feyenoord but probably bit tight and wanna sample full Feyenoord atmosphere.

On the Sunday, I think we'll end up doing Den Haag prior to Sparta game

Just back from a trip to Italy but what a disaster it was for me.

Made the Bologna vs Dortmund game on Tuesday night, stadium with good character, good atmosphere and fans were buzzing with their first CL win, beers available with a wait time of under 30 seconds made it an enjoyable evening.

Train to Milan next day, made it to the apartment and then suddenly couldn’t stop being sick so I missed the San Siro.

I blame an anchovy pizza accidentally ordered by my mate so I swapped mine being the good friend I am, big mistake.

Spent the Wednesday night and Thursday trying to feel better then the flight home got delayed by 24 hours due to the storm so only back this morning.

Been looking forward to doing Belgrade in February for months and the way I’m still feeling today can’t even be bothered booking it hopefully that changes.

2/3rds of the way through my Italian weekend

Torino v Cagliari last night was excellent, helped that Che Adams scored 2 so I was popular, fans were great and fiver a point you can’t grumble with. Also after the game there was half a dozen trams outside the game and they filled they just went one by one

Napoli v Juve tonight was fantastic, real bucket list stadium and it didn’t disappoint, good turnaround victory for Napoli as well

Napoli looks brilliant at the minute, will go back there one day - Ultras were on a boycott when I went so it was a bit empty. All go alright with your tickets? Did you get checked against your passport?

Really considering the Madrid derby, has anyone managed to pick up a derby ticket from the Madridsta membership scheme previously? Don't fancy paying silly money on viagogo or the likes..

Tonight Den Bosch v Volendam, Saturday Düsseldorf v Ulm and Sunday Antwerp v Brugge. Just getting ready to set off, staying at a farmhouse in South Netherlands, throwing in a AC/DC tribute band too so it’s not all about the football :)

It’s alright Den Bosch, M Side is full of lads drinking and singing. The away fans are only allowed to travel tonight by bus. Düsseldorf obviously a brilliant a drink. Antwerp has a decent fan bar called Great Old nearby.

Thanks for the heads up Wazza, buzzing for the weekend’s activities!!! Think we are M Side tonight :)

Me and my mate were thinking of doing Kobenhavn Brondby,

Anyone know how the Danish league works ?

I know they are back playing in 2 weeks or so do they have a split like here ? (Thought they did in years going by)

They have played each other twice so far this season last one was away. That mean the next one Kobenhavn are at home ?

Last but not least how hard are tickets to pick up for it ?

Next one might be too soon for us if they announce it so next season probably more likely.

Naples is a great city and the stadium is absolute bucketlist. Saw Harry Kane become the top scorer for England when we played there in 2023. After the trip, I put a Napoli game on the bucketlist. Very jealous of your trip.

Was over at AC Milan v Inter Milan on Sunday. Managed to buy memberships and that got us tickets for the game.

Great experience, AC Milan fans in great voice outside the ground. Ultras out with their flags and plenty of pyro. What I found weird is every stall was selling both AC and Inter merchandise. Was expecting to only see AC Milan merchandise given they were at home. Equally, there were plenty of people strolling about with Inter tops and scarfs.

We were sat in the gods, above the Inter fans (they have the middle tier behind the goal and the rest of the stadium was meant to be AC Milan fans). Was stunned to see Inter strips in my section. Was expecting it to be more like an Old Firm.

Atmosphere was superb but slightly disappointed by the AC Milan ultras, seemingly been protesting for months against their American owner, so no display or pyro or flags from them inside the ground! Inter had plenty in front of us though

Game finished 1-1 with Inter getting a well deserved equaliser at the death after dominating the match (think they had 2 goals disallowed and hit the post 3 times).

San Siro is an incredible stadium, absolutely huge, would hate to see it go. Great to finally see a game there after doing a stadium tour 20 years ago.

I was surprised when I went years ago too, I thought it was going to be similar to an old firm was shocked to see rival fans mingling with each other etc, still a top experience right enough.

Was at the Espanyol v Real Madrid on Saturday (£102 for a ticket ) and then Barcelona v Alaves ( £55 a ticket ) on Sunday and was a bit underwhelmed with both games more so with Barcelona playing in the Olympic stadium which has no roof so dampened the atmosphere a bit.

Read this a while ago regarding this:

Historically, fans of Milan and Inter have generally gotten along, sharing the city and rarely allowing hostilities to continue away from the stadium. This coexistence has been solidified through formal agreement; in 1983, ultras on both sides signed a peace

Did read the Ultras were boycotting this match. The main reason I’d like to do it one day is the displays they usually both do for it are superb.

Find Spain more and more very family orientated now. Just seems a bit to nice and calm at many grounds I’ve been there in the last decade. Betis, Sevilla, Atletico best ones I’ve been.

Even the two sets of Ultras are "friends". Lots of Ndrangheta infiltration especially in the Inter end and they earn a tidy sum from the ticket sales.
On a side note Inter as a club should cease to exist given their financial status.

Went Marseille v Lyon Sunday, spent Friday to Monday in Marseille - don’t think I’ve been in a City that size so dedicated to Ultras etc. you see graffiti all over and they have 6/7 different groups with fan houses dotted about the City. Was pretty special to be honest. Obviously they have a dodgy history with the whole Tapie thing and Greenwood seems to be a bit of hero there now, couldn’t believe how many had his name on their shirts. Atmosphere was bouncing, one of best I’ve experienced.

Going to Munster Vs Hamburg on Friday, flying into Weeze early on Friday then getting the train up to Munster, £44 return flights from Edinburgh

Been there a few times in the away end, good end to me - just an old, crumbly terrace with a few vans serving beer and food. Can just feel like you are on trains forever when you go that Airport and head to that part of Germany.

Looks like the top 6 all play each other again home and away. 22 normal match days and then 10 in the “Championship round”.

Did look at going it at Copenhagen earlier this season but it sold out before general sale, website was informative on dates. Some other lads have posted on here they got them previously easy enough though but not in that Sektion 12.

Looking forward to it, got the ticket through a resell website so hoping it'll be fine, the stadium looks very old school.

That's a ground I've always wanted to do, looks superb. Was it easy enough to get tickets for?

Second time I’ve been mate and it’s great, first time was as well. I originally had a ticket in the main stand, wasn’t hard to get - they were still selling them on the day of the match. You couldn’t get in the kops official though so bought one off a lad on Twitter, was 80 euros but worth every penny - met him at the ground and used a season card and gave him it back at half time. Stadium tour was alright, enjoyed reading all the different stories of their seasons, so many great players have been there.

Anyone been to Bratislava for a game before? Thinking of heading over in April time
I done a couple of days there and enjoyed it. The football won't blow your socks off but it should work out a pretty cheap trip and Bratislava is a nice little place. The centre has a typical old town touristy area with bars etc. and everywhere was clean and tidy, even when I ventured out the centre a bit for games.
