European results in perspective.

So we were told that Celtic were in the 'toughest' group of this year's CL, with such giants as Bayern Munich, PSG and the mighty Anderlecht. Just for some perspective. PSG with their megabucks barely reached the quarter final, Anderlecht lost at home to Celtic (an achievement in itself) and Bayern lost at home in the first leg of the semis to Real Madrid. All of these results would suggest that Celtic were not in the toughest group at all, but rather were in a group where two of the clubs had massive resources and were from 'big' countries.
The tragic thing is that Celtic received 30 million pounds plus for basically making a fool of themselves.
There are plans afoot to reorganize the CL, let's hope teams like Celtic don't get in as the money they receive really has a negative impact on the whole of Scottish football. By the way, the Bayern- Real game was shocking, really low standard football.

Teams like us?

You hope teams like Celtic don't get in? So if we were to win the league then we wouldn't qualify for the Champions League? Hmmm....
