Falkirk FC Q&A

With Falkirk toiling in the third tier, their board thought it would be a good idea to host a question and answer session with the fans. Sheer comedy gold.

It really starts to unravel ten mins in
My local club that I briefly played for in my youth so I still have a lot of time for them. Sad to see how far they've fallen since the days of mojo, Hughes and Stainrod. Even more so since they were beating us in Warburton's championship winning season not so long back either. Personally, I hope they find their way back from the wilderness. Much rather they were further up the leagues than the likes of Alloa, Morton etc who I've very little time for at all.

Hadn't realised how far they'd fallen. To think they used to give us a torrid time.

See that fat prick ,the mc with a mike is still hovering about.
The same Dave McIntosh that proclaimed over the tannoy , the final score at Ibrox was "the final score at Castle Greyskull ended Sevco Franchise 5 East Stirling 1 " in 2012.
What an absolute nonentity ,like the club and its support.

Only 15 mins in and it reminds me of the spivs.

The fan who spoke at 15 mins came across really well, considering he’s from Falkirk.

A good mate of mine is a die hard Falkirk man and is disgusted with how they are being run just now.

As an aside, I know FF will remember the utter dicks from their support on our way back up but, there is a lot of Bluenoses from there. I'd say the area definitely favours us.

Like everywhere, the biggest arseholes are always the loudest.

I saw a clip on Twitter of one of them claiming teams raise their game against Falkirk :))

I'm from there and believe me when I say that 99% of their fans are Rangers hating wankers. Loving seeing them go through misery at the moment - long may it continue.

Their chief exec they took from stenni had Shaun Maloney in his all time Scotland 11. Shows their football knowledge and that their climb back is gonna be long and difficult

They were always going to get a hard time when they ask the fans to stop booing the players right at the start :D

The way to improve attendances isnt to encourage families either. Make the experience appealing to the core fanbase of working class males and you'll have a better chance.

Another example of a badly run club. Always had a soft spot for them growing up, used to watch the odd game at Brockville with friends when I wasn't heading through to Ibrox.

I know at lot of Falkirk fans, a few good mates who are season ticket holders. Coming from the area I really don't hear that much hatred towards us. I guess there's always the neutrals who will use the usual stuff to rile whatever visiting fans it may be on any given day.

When they beat us 3-2 me and my mates were watching in Milan. My mate got sent home with @Rangers72 absolutely wrecked at 2-0 to us. Woke up the next day rough as %^*& and went "at least the Rangers were brilliant". Thought we were winding him up when we broke the news.

'Rivalry' aside in the sense that I don't care for Falkirk FC, however, this shows why football fans around the world and especially in this country are disillusioned with their clubs. Spend the first ten minutes going on about fans then say they aren't blaming fans. The hardcore fans need to be listened too, not called out by the board.

I was at a Stranraer game and their was a group of young lads with a banner and a drum singing for 90 minutes and the amount of old guys, stewards etc giving them hassle was absolutely disgraceful.

I was there with my eldest in the main stand within the Falkirk support. We were brilliant first half and should've been about 5 up at half time but the second their first went in you just knew it had 3-2 them written all over it as we were chronic the whole of that second half. When the worldie equaliser went in quite a few bears along from us were escorted out. A good few of the kids I coached football to at the time were there too and needless to say they knew who I supported. When their winner went in I got pelters big time, lol.

It was mental. We completely chucked it.

Yeah, we did. I remember on here afterwards there was a big shout to sign their English midfielder (for life of me can't remember his name), who played pretty well against us every time, and some were annoyed when a few seasons later he joined a lower league team down south. One thing about the whole Warburton roller coaster, particularly that first season, it was never dull. B-)

Probably my favourite season in following Rangers. Don't know if it was just the dire years before that made it seem better than it was, but every away game was a rollercoaster. The massive win at QOTS in the sun at the start of the season was one of the best away days I've ever been to.

Very well structured dissection of the performance under the new chairman and you can see Deans' body language and speech as he gets up to answer, he is immediately very defensive and hits out with "that's a statement, not a question". No, it was a very well put question with facts to back up its worth.

I remember at the Novo Cup Final against them their fans were singing “we are the steeple” and putting their hands up in the shape of a steeple. I still cringe when I think about it.

The only good thing about Falkirk is that it isn’t Alloa.

Aye, he came across as defensive and combative. The nepotism question just wasn't acknowledged at all.

I am reminded of this game everyday.
My work colleague of 40 years son scored the winner snd he has a picture on his desk of him scoring .

Will Vaulks?

Im sure it was reported at over six figures per annum.
That’s quite substantial for a club that size tbf but recruitment costs probably outweigh that considering they’ve had academy players break through over last decade

Crazy though

They drew in around 500k for Scott Arfield alone.

He gets the reply, that was a statement not a question! Ffs!

despite him ending the analysis with a question
speaks volumes for their running of their club

i gave up after the guy stood up, proclaimed he had to be quick as he had another appointment and then waffled on about pish without getting to the point

They actually knitted and drapped the steeple building in a falkirk scarf for that final :)
