Anyone picks 2003 they must have been on acid :))

2005 for me never expected that come back

Clicked 2009 but would change to 2005 on second thought.

2003 was horrendous.

2005 by some distance.

I would love to have seen that Valencia side win the trophy, an outstanding team.

Five former Rangers players amongst the starting line ups I noticed as well.

Has to be Liverpool - Milan from 2005. Was a few days after Helicopter Sunday as well. Liverpool had no right coming back from 0-3.

Honourable mention to 2004 - good to see 2 clubs outwith the "usual leagues". A bit of a throwback final as if it was the old European Cup.

2005 for the nature of the comeback, as a neutral it was a great watch, great Milan team too when you look at it on paper.

2005 watched the game in a pub in Italy, place was going nuts seemed to be 50% Milan supporters and 50% Juve fans enjoying the Milan fans pain.

A weird decade for Champions League finals. Some of the best starting 11's you would see at that level (Milan 03, Real Madrid 2002) then possibly the worst to play in a Champions League final in Liverpool '07.

Milan really have had some phenomenal sides haven’t they?

Their side with the 3 Dutchmen, Maldini, Baresi, Ancelloti etc was the best of all time, but some of the sides since then have been brilliant too.

2005. Incredible drama - one of those matches people
Will still talk about 100 years from now.

2008 was a brilliant game as well.

Went 2005.

RM vs Leverkusen was a great game as was Man U & Barca 09.

United thought they were dominant force (in the EPL they were) and they were absolutely demolished by Barcelona that night. Men against boys.

Only one winner here. Liverpool

Some good games in there right enough. Porto team were good to watch

Went to the RM v BL final at Hampden but chose 2005. Watched it at a pal’s who is a massive Liverpool fan (he’s from there) and genuinely felt for them at half time. I tried to lighten the mood by talking about Helicopter Sunday which was only a few days earlier and it certainly made me smile! But then the 2nd half started and it turned out alright. They said it was the most dramatic game ever, so I told the legend of Helicopter Sunday all over again!

Great videos and pics on thread, cheers for posting.

I have no allegiance to Liverpool but the 2005 game lives long in the memory. I've just finished Gerrard's second book and was surprised by how critical he was of Benitez, on occasions.

2005 unbelievable match.

Side note. I do miss a regular 4-4-2 formation in football these days.

Hampden. In the Celtic end and Zidane scored that goal just in front of us. Wonderful.
Next year at Old Trafford must have been the worst final ever. Enjoyed being with the Italian supporters but they’ve a lot to learn about properly follow, following their team. Amateur supporters!

Most memorable is definitely 2005. Other games I remember bits and pieces from but 2005 I remember vividly. 19 years old, out with my pals, watching in the pub. Used to hate Liverpool but even I was cheering them on as they gathered more and more momentum.

Has to be 2005.

Even if you absolutely detest/hate either team it was by far the best final of that decade.

Went for Liverpool’s amazing Istanbul comeback.

Attended the all Italian borefest at Old Trafford. Worst CL final ever.
