England 96 for me, the only one I got really into. 20 years old, first job, in the pub for most games, great memories

Euro 96 was fantastic and great memories of Euro 2000 as it was the first tournament which I attended.

88 was great too as that Dutch team was sensational.

My favorite though was 2016 due to N Ireland’s involvement in it.

Similar to my World Cup answer. The first one I can properly remember being gripped by because of my age - Euro 96

1988 for me, great tournament with many memorable moments and that goal from Van Basten.

Headed by a USSR team (heavily influenced by a Dynamo Kyiv team) coached by the great Valeriy Lobanovskyi (also Dynamo Kyiv coach) that looked like it could be their time to shine after missing the previous 3 Euros and a Dutch team coached by the much lauded Rinus Michels that finally managed to get that tournament win that avoided them in the 70s.

Euro '96

Fond early childhood memories of a warm summer, Gazza's England, Super Ally's Scotland and a lot of familiarity even though I was just a kid.

I remember being hooked on the England v Germany Semi-Final and even the reports on GMTV the morning after.

Throw in 3 Lions, 90s Britpop etc, verge of New Labour govt. Seminal culture right there.

I should add, this is despite witnessing NI at a first major tournament in my lifetime in France 2016.

I didn't go and it didn't bother me at all. I know plenty who were there and had a great time but it's Rangers first and last for me.

Of course, I would liked to have been there as I do have an interest in the NI team but that comes and goes with games. I can't relate in the same way, every day as it is with being an emotionally invested fan of a club.

Good memories of watching the games in the Tavern on the Shankill. That was a good Summer for NI, plenty of interest overall with the Republic being at the tournament as well.

Euro 2008. Was in Spain during the knockout stages and the atmosphere was unreal as they made their way to the final to win it.

Saved up for 2 years to go to Portugal 2004.
Think Holland knocked us put in playoff.
Ended up not going and buying a Dyson

1984 wasn't on TV enough, but the highlights showed the French team were fantastic and Platini was almost as much a matchwinner as Maradona 2 years later.

If it's live games and getting into it as if happened, I'd probably go for 1988. Van Basten was at his peak, and what a striker he was.

Has to be France 84. Brilliant team. Platini, Tigana, Giresse etc. They were due it after being cheated out of reaching the World Cup final in 82.

96 is the nostalgia vote - I get it I voted for Italia 90.

But actually, a lot of the games were way worse than Italia 90.

Euro 2000 gave us:

Portugal 3 England 2
Romania 3 England 2
Yugoslavia 3 Slovenia 3
Spain 4 Yugoslavia 3
France 2 Holland 3
France 2 Spain 1
Holland 6 Yugoslavia 1
France 2 Portugal 1
Italy 0 Holland 0 (I remember this as an exciting 0-0)
The final.

Voted 2004 purely because I went over for the full month. Went to several games, England v France being the pick of the bunch.

Still raging that Greece won the final, the party is Portugal had won would have been off the charts

Has to be France 2016. Those 2 nights in Lyon, partying, boozing and dancing, topped off by beating Ukraine. Only 55 will surpass that.
Taking that out of the equation, probably Euro ‘96
