Feyenoord

Stairs were fine but it was a nightmare getting in to the ground.

Bus seemed to take forever even with a police escort from Amsterdam.

What a trip.

Dam Square the night before the game.

The Glassy convoy and being chauffeured through the rush hour traffic like kings.

The display at the start and the overall atmosphere.

The absolute bedlam at Morelos goals.

Good times indeed. Gutted we aren’t getting to enjoy similar this season.

I was the only one of my group in the Rangers section. Scary stuff for the other guys.
We stayed in the Holiday Inn in centre of Rotterdam and it’s the only trip I’ve ever been on we stayed in the hotel after the game. That includes Istanbul.
They are nuts.

Never been but watching it on the stadium it did look like a very intimidating arena

I thought the stadium was bang average but the atmosphere it generated was one of the best I’ve experienced.

The design of the stairs is just the same as Kilmarnock only you don’t have the danger of falling over the side at Kilmarnock as there’s a wall, unlike Feyenoord. It’s not even a good looking stadium. Bang average stadium for the most scummiest set of supporters ever.

Quite harsh and obviously based on very little experience.
I’ve been there a year and they are absolutely fine.
The vast majority are normal hard working guys and good people.
Said people say they rarely go near the nutter element Of their support, and say they’re just lie the nutter element in most supports.
Unfair to tar them all with the same brush as the fannies in their support.

Did the stadium tour a few years ago and we were led round by a 88 year old who had been a club member since he was 7.

Very complimentary about Rangers - Gio in particular - and took great delight in showing us memorabilia from a certain match they won in Milan in the early 70s...

It’s a great city.

I’ve been travelling there on and off with work for last 5 years.

A trip to De Kuip was always one a wanted to tick off the list was a cracking trip. Angry bunch after the game when we were standing on the stairs seen a few of them get lifted with undercover cops.

Cracking trip. Few days in Amsterdam then got the train to the ground and back with no issues. First time in Amsterdam also and would go back.

Really liked De Kuip cracking ground. It was strange to not have any police or stewards in the stand( I never seen any anyway)

I remember being sat at home watching the Amsterdam square live cam the night before and being sick with jealousy.

%^*& Feyenoord.

Ajax Loyal!

Year ago today, another good trip with fantastic backing from the support. Those stairs were a killer in the stadium :)) Instagram & Facebook memories making not being at football even worse today.

Hope your singing has improved since that night lol.

The convoy was fantastic

Police stopped everything in sight on the motorways to allow the convoy of buses from Amsterdam through.

A great away trip and a good atmosphere created by both sets of supporters aswell.

The segregation measures entering the ground appeared a little extreme.

One of the best trips I’ve ever been on. Going to a genuinely big club and old fashioned stadium was brilliant.

Much prefer an iconic stadium like the De Kuip than the new purpose built super stadiums that have no history.

Keep the head up chief. Think of the away trips next year in the Champions League group stages.

Same here, give me an old fashioned stadium steeped in history all day long. Loved that trip and that old stadium. There's a reason why it has hosted so many Europeans finals. Its great for atmosphere especially when full of passionate supporters.
