Good news - sun’s out now! Taps aff!
Get the hair dryers on it.One small corner of the pitch firm but there fairly confident game will be on.
Sounds good but hopefully that bit doesn't need an inspectionThe covers are off and there is a small corner of the pitch that is hard.
They have heaters on it at the moment and are confident the game will go ahead.
Hope its on mate, can’t wait to hear your Candeias song being belted outSnow in strathaven too
I've just been down to Central Park no inspection is planned and the affected area will be getting sanded
Just heard it passed an inspection
So game on
That’ll be good, I thought it was artificial grass !!Had a walk across the pitch at 0900.
Pitch was firm but not hard and with the temp due to stay slightly above freezing during the day, I would imagine it should go ahead.
Covers are due to come off at 1.00pm and then they are planning to cut the grass and line the pitch.
You thought wrong thenThat’ll be good, I thought it was artificial grass !!
Drama queens everywhere We played Ayr United last season with heavy snow and much colder conditions.

You were saying? You'll struggle to get a better day for playing football. Can't believe there's even a thread about it. Folk don't half become jittery pansies over weather these days.

The underfoot is like concrete though, I’m delighted that it is off as having our players playing on concrete twice in 5 days isn’t good for knee ankles or hips.Incredible this is off, yes it’s cold etc but they’ve known all week it wa going to be cold, live in Dunfermline, Yip it’s cold but no snow or anything
Central Park isn’t perfect for football. Turns out the jittery pansies were correct. Not my fault someone's made an arse of it. Literally just been out running not too far away and it's perfect for football.
