The big man doesn’t do “rust” does he! Well impressed with how sharp and focussed he’s been given he’s barely kicked a ball this year. With Balogun starting quite well too, the gaffer has some interesting options going forward. But some quality tackles from Helander in that second half, he might not be the quickest but his positional sense is fantastic.

Solid, dependable, his positioning and reading of the game is second to none in the SPFL. Not the fastest player by any stretch of the imagination but he gets where he needs to get to.

There were two reasons we fell off a cliff in January. Morelos had already hit 30 goals and finished scoring for the season and Helander was injured.

The gaffer has a major problem on his hands on who to play at the back. Balogun has looked good so far and Gerrard clearly loves Goldson but for me Helander is too good to be sitting on the bench.

This criticism for his lack of pace is madness. If he was rapid he would be playing at the very top level when you consider all his other attributes.

No need to even worry about his lack of pace as his other attributes make up for that.
